And another poster made a passive aggressive post directed towards me. The Pistons being in trouble with a Cavs loss is just not a fact, it's an OPINION. One that I don't subscribe to. I have the right to express my disagreement. Sue me for not being shook about something the team has no control over.

Bottom line, depending on the performance of another team as the biggest factor of your future success is not the way to build a winner in my opinion. I'd be willing to bet Weaver would agree.

He never stated anything as fact, he stated his opinion that the Pistons would be in trouble in regards to passing the Cavs eventually if they lose one of the few winnable games left on their schedule. I'm sorry but I don't see anything wrong with stating that opinion.

You then kept stating why? WHY? when it was obvious that he was talking about their lottery standing, in this case #6. You had to have known that he was referencing them potentially catching the Cavs as his reasoning for saying that they're in trouble if the Cavs lost.

Cavs have a chance to pull ahead of us and not look back over their next few games. Their next 5 games are all "winnable" against teams below .500 currently in Charlotte, Washington, Toronto, Orlando, and Washington again.

Depend on where both teams are, I'm not sure if I'll be rooting for Cleveland or Orlando on their game on a week from today April 28th.

Pardon me for watching the game and actually seeing our young core guys outplay other teams'.

It’s reasonable to not be overly concerned with our lottery position.

But if you’re not concerned with it the reasonable course of action is to post in other threads, rather than repeatedly needling people who do want to talk about it.
Lol are you posting as the mod now? Because if you're not, you shouldn't be telling me what to and not to post just because I have a differing opinion.

You expressed no opinion when you spoke to me. Just needling me, asking a question when you knew exactly what I meant.

And no, I’m not telling you what to do. I just don’t know why you’d want to devote your time to bugging people who care about something you consider unimportant.

I think Cleveland is probably safely ahead at this point, they have too much talent to not win at least 3-4 more games. We should root for Orlando against them in that game.

I asked you why to get your reasoning and to counter your point. But before I could do that the peanut gallery jumped in. It's cool for you to reduce my opinions to absurdity with smug tone but God forbid someone doesn't agree with almighty you. Apparently it's needling when you're being opposed.

Interesting comment, I'm pretty sure this is not allowed. But it'll be ignored I'm sure.

Good loss for us, and that Cavs win completes a good tanking night.

Thunder and Rockets lost but there is no surprise in that.
Wolves lost in a good tanking way as they were leading with less than a minute to play.

Both Grant, Plumlee, Joseph, Ellington, Smith are mentioned as doubtful for the Spurs game, so we will probably see the same youngsters lineup we played against Cavs plus Doumbouya.
Spurs also lost last night too, meaning they will fight hard for a win tonight. Good news for us.

Magic receive Pelicans tonight, can be a winnable game for them.

Looking at the Pistons' remaining schedule there's really only three games they should win based on record; they play a lot of playoff or aspiring to make the playoffs teams. Now in reality they're probably going to win a couple of games they should lose and maybe lose a game they would be expected to win. I'd say their odds for a #4 finish are still fairly decent, with Houston, Minnesota and maybe even OKC taking the 1-3 spots respectively. The Pistons just need to watch out for Orlando whose strength of remaining schedule is on par with Detroit's.

Post-trades Orlando is in a freefall and they're tied with Detroit in wins. I feel the Pistons are pretty much locked into the 5 spot. 6 is possible if we steal some games with the youth playing well. A bit longer shot at 4 if the Magic magically stop losing.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

No help for the tank today.

Both Thunder and Cavs lose to weak teams.

Pacers will play without both Turner and Sabonis against us tonight. They should start Bitadze and Brissett instead.

I hate when these teams take us lightly sitting their players while we're actually a competitive bad team.
