Good for Knight!

...but he's still an undersized SG. Can't pass for squat.

“We had that (bond) really with James Harden. He was a connector of everyone. He brought Westbrook, Durant and (Serge) Ibaka and they all kind of connected, they all came together,” Kalamian said.

“James is a big reason and when he left I think Kevin said . . . that trade was the beginning of the end for him and now there wasn’t that connection as much.

“Kevin and Russell, they respect the heck out of each other, no question about it. They played well together, they work well together, they communicate, but I think the connection was lost a little bit for whatever reason.”

So Harden was the ultimate glue guy and heart of that team. Interesting. Really makes me appreciate him as a player more.

It's a lot like how Draymond Green is the heart beat of the Warriors and gets them in line during big moments. I can see why KD left, since the team didn't really get that much better after losing Harden. No soul, no team.

Somewhere Bill Simmons is salivating at mentioning once more that OKC royally F'ed up in not re-signing Harden as he oft does.

Knick fans got a dose of reality tonight and I love it.

Anyone else think they now realize like everyone else on earth that Rose and Noah are not the players they use to be?

They got crushanatored by the Cavs. U-g-l-y.

i think more so Melo isn't even in the same discussion as Bron, which is sad. and NY got talent they just need to gel. I can't wait for BJ first game at Madison Square Garden. I bet he's going to turn that place up.

I think/hope he could do well there. Seems like a good fit for him

Only play I saw was Richard Jefferson take the ball away from Carmelo and lead a fast break. One of those rare "damn" worthy plays.

If they could just eek together a better mix of players around him, they would be amazing.

Seriously, Davis singlehandedly put them in the playoffs that year in 2015. Gave the Warriors a hell of a time too. Imagine if he has someone like Biyombo or Steven Adams on his team along with decent shooters/slasher. The defense and hustle would be off the charts.

Very easy when you miss so many games. Have you seen his injury history since being in the league. I don't think any of us can forget that 60 point skee party he had on us last year

I look around other bigmen that are spacing the floor through jumpers and making volume FTs at great percentages and sigh.

Ant Davis and DMC are beasts. Shame they have zero help in talent.

Just imagine our team if you replace Drummond with Anthony Davis geez. Davis and Jackson would actually be a great pairing on offense then having Tobias and Morris as 3&4 option and SVG as the coach.

And at that point, all you would need would be to cover RJ's terribad defense, which KCP would do.

We could literally take the Cavs to 7 games easy if we had someone of Ant Davis' caliber of floor spacing.

Best rebounder in the league, 3rd team all nba at 22, and replacing him already?

With Anthony Davis?

Maybe I'm spending to much time on this board.

Yeah, to much time.

I'd replace Dre with Davis in a heartbeat. In fact If the Pelicans' GM picked up the phone today and offered AD for Dre, KCP, Stanley I'd get that deal faxed before he finished his sentence. The only real argument against doing so is Davis' health, but when you're talking about as much talent as he has you have to take your chances.

It's not a knock on Dre, he's in his 5th season and he's made some major strides. He's already an all star and one of the best rebounders in NBA history, and certainly the best in the league presently. It's just a testament to how good Anthony Davis is, he's wasting his talent over there in New Orleans.

Can't be serious...Andre Drummond isn't even in the same stratosphere as Anthony Davis. Give me the guy who can put up 24 &10 and make freethrows

Yeah, I'm dead serious. BEST rebounder in 20+ years, already an all-star and made the all-nba 3rd team and has the potential to be the best center in he league, AND plays almost every game.

YOUR making it seem like I'm talking about miles plumlee or something.

Maybe I'll repeat my self;

Best rebounder in 20+years, all-nba 3rd team, all-star, and only 22 years old and is stout as ****.

If Andre becomes better, and continue to play defense like he did against the magic he will become a force in the NBA and an MVP candidate.

I don't care about Davis who is oft injured and plays PF. I want the biggest, fastest Center in the league thank you very much.

Difference in opinion.
