The trade would have been indefensible if it was just next years unprotected pick for 13. But the Hawks also got pick 23.

The Pels gave up an unprotected pick to move up 10 spots.

The second that Zion goes down with an injury next year... heads are going to ROLL... (or at least they should...)

In other news, the Rasheer Fleming dream is still alive.

Fleming lasted til the 2nd round. Surely we can move up with all our 2nds.

Don't really know personality wise if he's a fit but Flemming has a huge wingspan and shot 39% from deep.

Doesn't have the bulk to play center more of a skinny PF in the Bobi Klintman mold so I'm not sure the Pistons want another 3rd string PF when they already have Klintman in that role.

I’ve been on the Flemming train since I started evaluating the draft but it’s only based on his highlights and archetype. We could definitely use an athletic stretch 4.

My only concern is the pre-draft report that says he gets lost periodically on defense and doesn’t know who to pass to on offense. If you’re struggling with BBIQ at his advanced age, that may be a red flag.

The top 5 “best available” left are all PF and C.

My favorite fit for this team would be Reynaud. Doubt he lasts beyond the first couple of picks of Rd 2. His size and skill set fit a real need for this roster.

Beyond Reynaud, I like Fleming, Kalkbrenner, and Penda (though another non shooting defensive wing feels redundant). I like a few others as well, but those names are the ones I like best. A small move up feels appropriate to me.

He’s also a pretty stiff athlete, when he guards on the perimeter his base is so high which hurts his lateral quicks. He relies on lunging at drivers to pick their pockets which he can do sometimes with his crazy wingspan.

If he worked on his flexibility so he could get in a proper stance he’d be a menace.

Are you ready for a position with the Motor City Cruise? We may have to throw Flemming in the gym with you for 90 days.

I wish Ryan Nembhard was a couple inches taller. Then again, he'd probably be off the board if he was.

I'm a sucker for floor generals. Nembhard is one who can do it all. He's just short. 5' 11" short. Would be a defensive liability over sustained stretches.

The least I've seen of a draft in a very long time but what I did see is that Dumars/Weaver are still terrible. Trading up 10 spots from 23 to 13 and giving up an unprotected 2026 1st, a team that has a ton of question marks and could easily be a bottom 10 team. Yikes

Weaver pulled a similar trade to get Duren I believe. I see no problem with going to get your player. The Lions use the same philosophy granted it's football

An unprotected 1st in that gauntlet of the West is quite the gamble with Zion always missing time & Dejounte hurt as well. To go up 10 spots is pretty bold. If it's your guy and it pans out well alright but uh oh if you miss.

I didn't know Weaver cloned himself in Phoenix... WTF are they doing? Trade for Mark Williams and draft Khaman Maluach while they already traded for Nick Richards at deadline and also drafted Oso Ighodaro last year. That plus their own 2 FA: Bol Bol and Mason Plumlee... Big collection.

EDIT: He even tripled himself in Portland as they just drafted the chinese Hansen right after Clingan last year and with also Ayton, Robert Williams III and Duop Reath on the roster...

Looking at the remaining pool of riff raff, I hope Penda is the pick.
Weaver = Hinkie
VW to Portland
