1. Smoove for Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams

2. Waive Tony Mitchell

3. Det out: Jennings, Meeks, Martin, DRUMMOND
Det in: Ennis, G.Green, Len, Pho 1st '15, Pho 2nd '15, Min 1st (two 2nds), LAL 1st, 2 Phi 2nd's, Bogdan

Phi out: Two 2nd's
Phi in: Jennings, Plumlee

Pho out: Ennis, G.Green, Plumlee, Len, 1st '15, 2nd '15, Min 1st(two 2nds), LAL 1st, Bogdan
Pho in: Meeks, Martin, Drummond

4. Draft Day - consolidate 2nd's/Bogdan/Pho1st. And just hope to get 3 nice lotto 1st's in 2015.

5. goodbye: Butler, Williams, Datome, Jerebko, Anthony

6. re-sign: Green, Singler, MONROE

Ennis/Augustin
KCP/Dinwiddie
Green/Singler
Monroe
Len/JT
Three lotto picks.

7. Sign a vet or 2 or 3. Maybe with actual cap space, but maybe not.

The team would be okay, but with potential to become elite. Also, waaaaay more watchable.

With all due respect, I would rather have Drummond then that pile of crap roster. That roster would be awful with not much promise. Have to really hope those draft picks turn out our you just handed over Dre for a bunch of low talent.

Coolness... I probably couldn't bring myself to trade Drummond, but that's reasonable.

I'd look to move Len, though, because Monroe is your CENTER. He's not a PF... that's one of the reasons we're having trouble using Moose and Dre together.

I appreciate the replies.

Maybe this chart looks more appealing.

LottoPG/Augustin/Ennis
KCP/Dinwiddie
LottoSF/Green/Singler/VetMinSF
LottoPF
Monroe/Len/JT/VetMinC

Pretty deep and promising team. But I kind of get it if you don't like it.
Different guys can fill in at PF. Like Singler, the lotto sf, Monroe, JT, the vet min sf.

If I'm trading Drummond it's for proven talent and only after Monroe is locked up long term.

Dude, I would trade Monroe and Drummond for Anthony Davis. Top 3 talent in the NBA is worth anything on the Pistons.

Would anybody trade KCP for Waiters? Not sure how much longer he'll last in Cleveland as the number 4 guy, but he'd provide that scoring that this team so dearly misses.

Ugh, no. Waiters is the Josh Smith of shooting guards... yeah, he can shoot (unlike Smith), but the dumb stuff he does is mind-boggling.

With Sacto looking legit....now might be the best time for us to dangle Josh Smith in front of them.

I'd be happy to get straight expirings for him at this point.

Or this if Toronto wants to make a run this season:

TO DET:
Landry Fields (expiring)
Chuck Hayes (expiring)

TO TOR:
Josh Smith
Tony Mitchell or Gigi Datome

 You know NOLA would laugh at that deal. Monroe/Drummond/multiple firsts wouldnt even get it done. Davis is a young superstar that play on both ends of the court

I don't think they'd make a move right now and mess with a good thing. Now this is a good taste for them, should they hit a rough spot and nose dive a bit then by all means Stan should be on the phone offering Smoove for their shorter contract crud.

NOLA would have a stroke from the laughter for Monroe and Dre for the real AD.

Anthony Davis is on a superstar trajectory right now. No one is saying otherwise.

Absolutely not. Waiters is a destined sixth man.

Monroe, Drummond, KCP, 1st round pick, and taking back Eric Gordon for Davis

Pelicans would have to think about it

But in all seriousness, David Lee is out AGAIN for at least 2-3 weeks. Smith for Lee and Barnes/Iggy GET IT DONE

They might hesitate for a sec, but then they'll realize AD is what makes them even relevant and can't do anything about it. Honestly, Drummond shouldn't be mentioned anywhere near AD right now.

I'd do that trade, I love Lee for his hustle, rebounding, IQ, and scoring. Like Monroe but with a bit more outside touch. And Barnes is Barnes, a young asset so eh.

Seems to me that KCP is doing a damn fine job of scoring. And is a ferocious defender. And I certainly wouldn't want to give his talent to Cleveland.

Jennings+Singler
for
Wright+Jefferson

Gives us two expirings and a good player in Brandon Wright. Gives Dallas a actual PG.

Return to Detroit Pistons
