Few of us thought they would let go of Halliburton. The Kings remain confusing.

Well, that's certainly newsworthy.

I never thought a Haliburton trade was an impossibility, I just thought they wouldn't give US him for a deal revolving around Grant.

Sabonis is a better asset by a mile.

I still like that trade for the Pacers. From a roster balance perspective it makes sense for Sac but I think they'll regret letting Hali go.

Just got the Sabonis trade notification on my phone. Wowzers that they gave up Hailburton and truly confusing for the Kings. This is exactly why they will always be a treadmill franchise, just no direction. I'd think that this makes a Grant trade to them more likely (like a slightly more than zero chance) if they want to "go for it" but who knows with that franchise.

The Pacers have done pretty well to get the assets they did in the Lavert and Sabonis trades.

Edit: Sabonis is actually younger than I thought so maybe not too bad for the Kings. I thought he was in his late 20s, hard to believe he's only 25.

If we can get their 1st I'm satisfied

Kings are going all in on trying to be good again. I don’t hate the trade.

Kings are so dumb, they should've traded everyone except Haliburton.

Eh, the more I think about it I don't hate the deal for Sacramento, it's just not a slam dunk like it was for the Pacers in their situation.

Smart money is on that Portland/NOH trade being a 3 team trade when all is said and done IMO, given the Blazers don't appear to be looking to rebuild.

No idea if we'd be involved, but one can hope.

Yeah but Fox has been underwhelming and he can't shoot. You need your lead guard to be able to space the floor and be dynamic

Halliburton was the guy you pair a talent like Sabonis with, not Fox. Kings are gunning for that perennial 8th seed, watch them not even make the playoffs

Good trade for the Kings. Sabonis is a legitimate all-star bigman, and will flourish there. The Kings now have a huge hole at PF, and still have their picks...

These two trades open up spots for Grant.

Portland could use and can afford Grant while the Kings are now thin at PG. I smell a three way trade myself. If we end up with Bagley and Portland's 2023 1st somehow while losing Grant and Joseph, I'd be pleased.

IDK, that's alot of team control your giving up on a promising young player for a few years of a more proven player.

Right now the only hopes I have for a Grant trade are Sacramento and (possibly) getting in on that Pelicans/Blazers trade, though I think the Blazers are probably aiming higher than Grant.

Weaver supposedly wants multiple 1sts according to Fischer. If they cough up another pick somehow, no way I'm mad at that haul

If he's really not budging from that asking price then we're keeping Grant. Nobody is giving us multiple firsts for Grant.

So many teams dealing. Hope were not going to hold onto Grant because no teams on his list are interested. Time to take best offer and move on.
