I hate that idea so i came up with a new one to totally transform Detroit's roster.

Detroit Out: Richard Hamilton / Chris Wilcox / Greg Monroe / Rodney Stuckey / DaJuan Summers
Detroit In: Ramon Sessions / Greg Oden / Rudolfo Fernandez / Carl Landry

Oden / Big Ben / Max
Landry / CV
Tay / Daye / Jonas
BG / Rudy / Terrico
Sessions / Bynum

They add a ton of young talent and balance the roster better i guess. They have 3 starters on a contract year and 2 other starters coming from a sub-par season with a lot to prove.

Minny Out: Ramon Sessions
Minny In: DaJuan Summers + a TPE

They get out of Sessions contract.

Portland Out: Greg Oden / Rudy Fernandez
Portland In: Rodney Stuckey / Greg Monroe

They get a good return for Oden instead of give him a big contract next offseason.

Sac Out: Carl Landry
Sac in: Richard Hamilton

They trade a spare big for a much needed starting SG.

I would rather have Stuckey and Monroe than Rudy and Oden...Oden doesn't look like he'll ever be healthy which is why I wouldnt give up more for him & if he does prove that he can be healthy, this package won't get him. That being said, I wouldn't take the gamble because he seems to be made of glass and I suspect it will remain that way- 82 games in 3 seasons.

Deals like this only happen on NBA 2K10. It just might be too much of a roster shake up and Dumars isn't known for that.

Don't know if Minny might do Dujuan for Ramon + a TPE. I might.

Not sure if I would gamble on Oden or not. I doubt Detroit would at two young prospects expense. Rudy just hasn't done enough to garner much interest across the league.

Sac is looking to cut cash and wouldn't take on Rip. No chance. Only deep playoff contenders would consider Rip at his age and contract. Those would be the types of teams he could flourish with.

Of course, this is just my humble opinion.

During Summer League Sac demonstrated interest in Rip so i think you are wrong about that (not sure if they would give up Landry for him) but i agree with you, that's a videogame trade. Too big too happen.

Minny would easily do a Sessions for Summer swap. They want to get rid of Sessions, they signed Ridnour.

And yes Pop, it is too much of a gamble and the price is spicy but if Kander can do his magic with Oden we could have the 2nd best center in the league for at least the next 6 years or so. That's more like a videogame movie like BadMofoPimp said :)

Oden's eligible for mandatory reitrement in only 3 years though.
Even Arnie Kander can't turn back Father Time. :)

Bad trade.

But it doesn't matter anyway.

Cleveland just got Ramon.

I wanted him so bad....

I really don't know what possible use they would have for Sessions, unless they plan on playing Williams at the 2 for part of the game.

And we could have gotten him for Wilcox, Summers and 2nd rounder...

Do you seriously see Cleveland wanting another large contract? D:

Unless...THEY'RE GOING TO WIN A RING BEFORE THE KING

No, no and no. Greg Oden? The man hasn't played a full nba season yet! He looks like he's 45 already, and his lack of health doesn't prove otherwise. Now, he is a great player when healthy, but why would we risk that much just for a big question mark? I don't see how that deal makes this team any better other than the fact that we have a true center, we get worse at SG, PG, and our PF position isn't any better.

Plus, you never see trades like this happen. At least attempt to be realistic.
