New Jersey doesn't look much better than last year's lousy team, although I'm sure they are desperate to get in the winning column earlier this year.

Detroit 101
NJ 96

Det 94
NJ 81

We have more depth than them. The only one who can beat us is Brook Lopez inside

Voted for Pistons.

Lopez scares me.

They fact that they have some big 4's (Smith, Humpries, Favors) to throw at Daye scares me a little too...

But in the end, I think our bench (Bynum, BG, CV, Monroe) wins this one for us.

DET - 97
NJ - 91

Lopez will struggle tonight...... mark my words. When Ben is on court, he won't do anything.... I have a feeling about it. :P

Wow, how anybody says NJ has a better team than us I do not know... doesn't really matter cuz neither team is very good, but Morrow, Outlaw, an injured Murphy, and Joe freakin Smith don't exactly strike fear into my heart.

Where is Terrence Williams? They're young talent is so overrated if Favors and Williams aren't going to be stepping up this year.

Harris v Stuckey will be interesting

I think we win here. A loss to the worst team in the league last year would be a very disheartening start

The difference between us and NJ is we actually have talent. Chemistry wise I say we're as bad as them.

No defense from either team. 112-98 for a Piston win. Stuckey and Harris will light it up for 30 a piece.
CV will get 20 off the bench and steal the starters spot after Daye gets handled.

If that's the case then Lopez wouldn't be a star center in the first place. But if you're right, then today's centers are SIGNIFICANTLY worse then say a decade ago. How should a star center play bad against a current Wallace? Now imagine them playing against the old Wallace. In other words, if Lopez plays bad against Wallace tonight, then he sucks compared to the old centers. It worries me but doesn't surprise me.
Centers today should be killing Wallace. I'm not saying he's bad or will I ever because he's my favorite Piston and I believe he should've won the Finals MVP or should be in the HOF rather than Billups. I'm saying he's definetly not the old one and if you have trouble against him right now then consider yourself to be average at best. The bigs today are VERY much hyped up.
I hate the way the NBA is changing. The talent and competition is greatly diluted which I find disappointing and ashaming. I don't understand why I still watch this sport. Everyday, the NFL and NHL are becoming my favorite. Maybe it's because the Pistons suck or maybe it's because today's players are cheaters, weak, cowards, disloyal, and dishonorable. The good side of the characteristics I mentioned should be what a team is and what it intends to be. I don't expect it to get any better in the next 10 years as long as you have teams like the Heat and soon to be Knicks. I hope they never ever win a championship and if they do I wish they win 20 in a row, to show how FAKE and stupid the NBA has become. Did I mention fake? Technical fouls are being handed out like Christmas cards. Shoot, if I was in the NBA, I'd get kicked out every game.

I disagree, I think Stuckey will do a good job on Harris defensively.
I also hope what you said about CV is true. Same for Maxiell.

I just checked the Nets thread and this game is a little too hyped up. If anything, there will be lots of offense and stupid mistakes by both teams and guards. It should be fun watching Daye gets superstar numbers tonight. As long as he hits the jumper, I think he'll be amazing in this game. His stroke looks to be consistent and good enough to be on of the top in the league. He said he was "disappointed" by his 3/7 3pt last game. I'm not mad. I'm alright with that.

T-Will comes off the bench for NJ, but I'd expect him to play starters minutes.

We really should win this one, but it'll be close. We won't really guard Lopez, and someone random (I'm guessing Outlaw) will have a big game.

Im going to try and actually watch a Pistons game tonight. When the free-throw counter hits 40 though, off it goes in favor of netflix.
