Brooklyn has been a big surprise this year, and so have Charlotte and Milwaukee. I'm thinking that Charlotte will fade as Kemba and MKG loose heat.
8th spot should come down to Indiana, Chicago, Charlotte and us, with 39 wins making it.
We need to go 35-32

Pistons already playing .500 ball in the last 8 games. If they continue to improve, they could finish the season above .500 and be in the mix. I am still not sold on the Nets being healthy all year and making the playoffs while the Pistons will end up with a better record than the Bucks.

Amazing how weak our division has become since the Rose injury.

^^And Granger's.
Looking at the Buck's schedule, I feel we would be close to the same position they are if we had that schedule.

As much as I want Shabazz, our record is not reflective of our talent. Starting a season with a west coast road trip is brutal. It will still be a challenge for us to make the playoffs, but we should be close. It would be a great honor to get the 8th spot and watch the Heat pulverize us by 40 in 3 straight games.

I don't think there is a chance this team gets a top 5 pick. There are some really bad teams out there. In that case, why root to tank as Shabbaz is every teams pipe dream. We should at least do better than last year.

I feel like we'll have the 10th pick of the Draft and select Archie Goodwin.

This is a good year to give away a non lottery draft pick. The draft is not deep. It's especially poor in relation to Detroits biggest needs. Pistons could also afford to go one season without feeling obligated to develop another young player. They have enough of those and would benefit from allowing those guys to learn how to play the right way before introducing more guys who don't know how to play the game.

^^^Exactly. Pistons already have like 5 rookies. Time to improve, not rebuild.^^^

Yes, I'm tired of this every year with these young guys. I want them to become vets asap. The more high priced rookies we keep adding, the longer this is going to go on. One of the reasons I was glad we traded our pick this year. I could care less about Nazr Mohammed's cousin lol.

My initial prediction was that we'd be about as we were last year in terms of winning percentage, perhaps a bit better. I expected us to narrowly miss the playoffs.
I think that's still likely the case now.
Whats the protection on the pick we owe Charlotte this year?

Lottery protected. So, if Pistons make playoffs, Charlotte gets the pick. If the Pistons are in the lottery, Pistons keep the pick this year.

We are 1 loss from the most amount of losses in the entire NBA.
