Monroe was decent today. Not great but not terrible. Yeah, he bricked those FTs but he isn't the reason we lost. Max got crushed on the glass and gave up offensive rebounds the whole game. Frank is a fool for not giving Dre the chance to finish. It would've been some nice experience for him too.

refs seemed to be taking away pts from us all night. 2 Drummond tips called GT. The Singler play that they went back later and took away. There was a Knight play off the backboard that was blocked that I think was GT too in our favor that we didn't get. Then the Deron backcourt violation. If even 1 of those were different we win the game. It was like a perfect storm of getting jobbing by the refs

Despite all that we took one of the better teams in the East to 2OT in their building and Knight held his own against Deron all game, and I thought he showed great poise tonight. Tough game but great exp for Knight/Monroe and I think they grew a little tonight. To come back down 17 to take it to 2OT, this was huge even though they didn't win. They are very close to getting over the hump and learn how to close out games, and I think once they do they'll be a good team. Because they know how to build big leads. They just need that next step of closing them out.

This is what every young team has to go through before they become a good team, and then a great team: stretches of bad play that last too long, blown plays on offense, blown assignments on defense, and not finishing. The guys will be the better for this experience in the years to come.

rodney had a nice game. not sure how he ended up with -16 in the plus/minus cat.

^that does seem odd, especially in a close 2OT game to be -16. I don't remember, but I'm guessing he was in the game during the 20-1 run in the 1st half, then wasn't in for the 19-5 run we made in the 3rd qtr.

yeah stuckey is really starting to get things going, i love the way hes playing

English and Middleton had good games in the D league tonight.

24 pts, 6 rebs, 3 asts on 7-16 FG and 7-7 FT for English

19 pts, 9 rebs, 3 asts on 9-17 FG for Middleton.

Stats in the d league mean nothing of course, but you expect them to put up those stats against inferior competition, and they did, so thats good to see.

The commentary is absolutely awful...at one point JaJuan Johnson posterized Fab Melo and the commentator yelled "Oh My! JaJuan Johnson goes right over FAB Melo and FABricates him!"

Middleton looks really good...they were basically using him as the point forward and main ball handler throughout the game. His offensive game is not bad...we should give him a chance. I think he could be a player in this league...

Crazy game tonight!..The refs wanted the home team to win so bad they cheated us twice...Monroe, Drummond, Knight, and Stuckey played great tonight...I have no idea why Frank didn't put Drummond in the game at the end of the 4th quarter and at the end of both overtimes...Frank is a dumba##!..Prince played good defense tonight, but Joe Joe played better offense...We have a better team then our 7-18 record shows...

We should be concerned if they looked terrible in Dleague, but them playing well doesnt mean much. I think Middleton has the better shot to be a backup 2/3 in the league though.

Either of them are probably better options than Corey Maggette, I dont get why he has a spot in the rotation, hes terrible. His 15mpg would be better spent on someone else.

I just looked at the stats...Why in the world did Max play 38mins with 2 rebounds and Drummond only played 18mins with 9 rebounds??? Like I said earlier, Frank is a dumba##...That's inexcusable bro...

Their bigs were in foul trouble, so the Nets had a bit of a smaller line up at the end. So that's why Frank didn't put Drummond in. I don't agree with it, but I think that's what he said in a postgame interview when asked about not putting in Drummond to grab those rebounds.

On the other hand, the Nets could've fouled Dre as soon as he grabbed the rebound.. but I'd still take that over giving up points on offensive boards. The only plus for Max is that he was hitting his FT's (7/8)

Overall a good game tho, too bad a few calls and shots at the end didn't go our way
