Would any of you consider a DJ Augistin/Will Bynum trade? Augistin was highly regarded by this forum a few years ago. He's playing terrible off the bench for Indy and Bynum has really picked up his play. They are both expirings and a salary match.

Not sure why Indy would do that trade.

Not a bad deal per se.....but I don't see the benefit for either team. Wouldn't it be easier for each team to simply keep the expiring pg they already have and the pg who already knows their respective systems?

I agree with this but I think maybe a Augustine for Daye swap makes more sense. The Pacers are hurting on the wings. Augustine isn't used much. I see more future potential in someone like Augustine as opposed to Will Bynum.

Why would anybody in their right mind want Austin Daye on their roster?

Pacers are despirate for help at the SF/SG spot because of injuries. Daye is showing he can give you 10-15 decent minutes. He just scored 20 points verse Atlanta a few days back. He clearly has some ability. Augustine isn't being used munch until recent injuries to the Pacers. It's a trade that helps both sides.

I'm not sure why everyone is so gung ho on trading Daye? It's clear that Daye was mismanaged since he came to the D and last year he had too much on his plate. I'd like to see if he could be a cornerstone or at least a vital piece of our team and team chemistry going forward. He is a phenomenal offensive talent, can nail the 3 with relative ease, has made 2 clutch plays in 4 games, so we know he has ice in his veins, he's a good rebounder, shot blocker and he can play multiple positions too.

There is no one who has been tougher on Daye than I have but it looks like he's putting it all together this year and I'd rather keep him when he is mature and contributing, rather than pay him to groom him to be our competition.
