Anyone like him? List some pros/cons to support your answer. Bledsoe likely gets dealt in the offseason (or maybe even this season according to recent reports and Chris Paul.
Bledsoe has been learning from Chris Paul & Chauncey Billups this year.

He is the PG I would love for us to land somehow(in terms of who may actually be able to be got) as I have already mentioned in other threads.
Plays some damn fine D and is getting better in every aspect of the game. IF we could somehow land him AND his old LAC backcourt mate EJ we would be looking damn good for the future.
How this could actually happen though... no idea.

I don't get why LAC would deal this guy. Great back up and with CP3's knees, it's good to have a back up like him.

I don't see anything we could offer the Clips for him.

Would Joe do a Knight for Bledsoe?

The clippers wouldn't.

I agree. Knight is about all that will work. Bledsoe will be starting somewhere next year.
He can play.

Maybe something like this could work...
MEM-LAC-DETLAC gets Gay and adds a cheaper PF to replace Odom and a young PG for depth.
MEM gets a lot of expiring to help their salary issues and a young cheap SF that could fit with what they have going in Singler.
DET takes on some extra money (about $4mil) for an extra season to get Bledsoe.
Memphis probably would want a pick added but we do not have one thanks to the CHA deal. No idea of LAC pick situation.

Memphis can get better for Gay, but not bad for Clips and Pistons.

Odom would probably regress back to Dallas Odom if he has to leave LA again.

He's the best change-of-pace backup PG in the league. He's relentless and a freak athlete. Fantastic defense and he's getting better on offense. I have some questions as to if he can be a starter right now, but I believe he'll grow into it.
No reason for LAC to trade him. I know they're a bit loaded in the backcourt, but he's on his rookie contract and showing great potential.

LAC will probably trade him next season after they extend Paul, Bledsoe himself will need an extension after that and makes no sense to pay a lot of money for Paul's backup.
They'll probably trade him for front court help or a young SF since Butler is been horrible and Barnes + Hill are ancient.
I could see Utah trying to do a sign and trade involving Millsap for Butler's expiring and Bledsoe.
They were interested in Prince before so who knows, maybe Prince + Singler + something else for Bledsoe and Butler?
Just for fun, this season I'd try Prince, Maxiell, Bynum, Daye, Singler for Odom, Butler, Bledsoe, Thompkins.
Maxiell is better than Odom at this point, Prince is an upgrade over Butler at this point as well, Singler would start at SG for them for Willie Green, Bynum would play Bledsoe's minutes and they'd get to give Daye a look

Detroit start Bledsoe and Knight together and try to add a SF next offseason to go with Bledsoe/Knight/SF/Monroe/Drummond.

Bledsoe is one of the hottest trade chips in the league right now. They aren't trading him to us for Jason Maxiell, Kyle Singler and the $15 mil owed to Prince.

The first part of this is dead right--Bledsoe is a great athlete, defender, and a tireless rim attacker--but the second is wrong. He's on the last year of his rookie deal and they can't resign him for his market value (they're already near luxury level), but they know everyone in the league has noticed he's been awesome this year. (He has a PER of 20 this year.) They want to trade him now before having to let him walk as a RFA.
Knight won't get it done, nor will our nickels and dimes. I think they're aiming for a top-10 pick or a young player who's been very promising.
PS: that proposed deal is horribly insulting to the Grizz.

idk, it concerns me that he's been playing in this league for a couple of years and just now decided to start showing up. It particularly bothers me for our team that is becoming notorious having players with amazing potential but very little production. if we are going to pay a player, i'd rather have a monta ellis type player than a potential 1 year wonder

With thinking like this Chauncey Billups would have never been a Piston.

actually i don't think Chauncey started producing til he got here. Bledsoe with his play this year is going to get a pretty hefty contract.

Chauncey's mini breakout occurred in 01-02 with Minny after Terrell Brandon got hurt. Minny wanted to keep Chauncey due to his relationship with KG but they were capped out (the Joe Smith fiasco) which is how we landed Chauncey.

Those who don't like Knight because of his TOs will love Bledsoe, lol.
Hes a 4 TO per game PG PER 36 for his career. Plus while I do like him as a player, and think he's a scrappy defender, he's still only 6-1 and would be a defensive liability against most full sized PGs. Whereas Knight is proving to be a great defender this year against PGs of any size.
I think Bledsoe is a good young PG and I'm sure LAC values him, but ppl saying they wouldn't trade him for Knight are being a little ridiculous.
While he's a good young PG, he's still only actually putting up 6 pts and 3 asts per game in his career so far. He's got potential, but until he actually proves it as a starter, instead of CP3s backup, you don't trade your recent 8th pick for a guy avg 6/3 on 28% 3FG. And imo LAC wouldn't even think twice if we offered Knight for Bledsoe. It would be a done deal. Knight has more value than Bledsoe and would be foolish to trade him for that deal. If we were to trade Knight we should be able to get a lot better package back than that.
