His father also said he hopes LF is not coaching next year.

Does he have any trade value

He's making 4 million. I don't see the trade value. I think the Sprieghts deal showed us what it would take to move a reserve making 4 mill beyond this season. I think we are better off moving Daye than Jerebko because Daye is moveable contract wise.

Someone posted a good trade proposal that included Jonas for Wesley Johnson...I also wouldn't mind Jonas for Beasley, or Jonas for Wilson Chandler...If Jonas is unhappy here lets trade him ASAP!..

It's the LITTLE moves like signing Jonas to his stupid contract that kill the Pistons flexibility
Just like the 3M deal to Wilcox a few years ago
One might look at it and say 3M not too bad for a backup C, but we had to give up Afflalo so we could sign him
Look at the trash Dumars has accumulated off our bench that havent helped us one bit this year:
Jerebko - 4.5 M
Slava - 1.5 M
Middleton + English (1 M combined)
All together that adds up 7M in cap space that is literally being flushed down the toilet and NONE of those players have even come close to cracking the rotation (even as a bench player)
Id rather have one overpaid bench player making 7-8M (oops CV is already making that) that can at least show up every game and put up 12/5 off the bench than three players that dont see the light of day and are draining our cap space for no reason

This story is far from over (like CV, Bynum Daye)... give it til after the deadline to see what the true intentions are.

Who knew Jonas Jerebko's father and I would have so much in common?

Can't be serious.

I'd be unhappy with the performances that lead to him being put in the doghouse if I were him.
He hasn't been one of the 4 best forwards on this roster so far this year. Plain and simple.

Of course he's unhappy, what competitive person wouldn't be unhappy with the role Jerebko has now? His performance definitely warranted him getting benched, but I'm a bit surprised he doesn't even get in for garbage time like English did last night. He must be doing something wrong in practice, which is not what I would expect based on the hustle we've seen in the past. Then again, Frank can be pretty stubborn with his rotation once he finds a lineup he likes.
Also, is the article saying Jonas's father hopes Frank is not the coach next year? That's how I interpreted it. Or is his father saying that Jonas hopes Frank is not back next year? The former seems more likely

He should be unhappy about not playing, but he hasn't played well this year. And his father should probably stay outa it.

Agree there. Family members chiming in about playing time and on the court stuff is never good

If Jonas is Unhappy imagine how the guy who pays him 4.5 million a year is feeling after what he showed us the past 2 seasons?
Dude managed to be worse than Maxiell and CV and deserved to be out of the rotation.

He deserves to be on the bench. Every time I'm out on the weekend, I see this guy. Same thing with Charlie V and Darko before that. I've seen him partying it up directly after games and nights before games. I wouldn't care if it was just a night or two here and there. To me, when I see him out as much as I do, it seems like he's more interested in having fun than working to become better.

I agree that players should take a multi-million dollar job much more seriously. But, I do recall seeing Shaq out partying a couple times a week at this one club that didn't have too many people at. This was often too. He would park right out front where nobody else was allowed to park. Yet, I never saw Shaq really party hard though. Just have one or two beers and talk to chicks.

I think Jerebko could fetch a late 1st round pick, and I don't think there's anything bad about his contract. $4 mil/yr for a solid bench guy, who is still young with room for improvement is about the norm.
I don't think we should be looking to add a bunch of rookies, but if we can stockpile a bunch of late 1st round picks, they can be great trade assets.
I think we could potentially get a current or future late 1st round pick for each one of these players: Max, Bynum, CV, and Jerebko.

The fact that he's not even getting garbage time suggest to me that he is very deep in the doghouse and it isn't only because of his on court performance.
Its funny, we all embraced the resigning at the time when it happened. Since then we've had a disappointing season and this season to show for it. If he doesn't right the ship soon he's looking at a mighty short career.

I am sorry, but, LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!
You had me rolling at Each One . . .
Now, the Pistons would have to add a 1st rounder to give away to get rid of CV.

Have we been watching the same Bynum and CV?
They are playing amazing off the bench. And its not just been a few games like ppl keep trying to make it seem. CV's been on this torrid shooting streak from downtown for 2 months now, since he got back in the rotation in late November. Bynum's been on this roll for a month since the ATL game in late December.
We've had one of the best bench's in the league over the last month, in large part due to these 2 players, offensively. They have definitelty upped their value to late 1st round picks, imo, and I think there are playoff teams out there looking to bolster their bench that would love to have Bynum or CV doing what they've been doing here, and would be willing to give up a future late round pick.
