Can someone please explain the Win Share%?

I have seen this before but do not understand the whole win share percentage. Dan Patrick from Pistonpowered thinks that Dre should be in the discussion for 6th man of the year. I personally doubt that anyone changes a game as much as Dre does when he's in there. His Win Share percentage is 3.7. What does this mean??

That's just his normal win shares, not a percentage. It's an advanced stat that approximate how many wins he has added.
