Rondo

Would anyone want him?
Personally Monroe, Knight, Stuckey for Rondo, Terry seems about right to me.
A Drummond-Rondo-2013 draft pick-(Mayo/Millsap/Josh Smith level FA) core seems very enticing.
Celtics add a young big who could florish with KG & Pierce.

Absolutely not. I would much rather have Monroe and Knight than Rondo and then just worry about filling the SG position in FA. I don't get this trend of everyone wanting to trade our core players.

we need shooters around monroe/drummond. rondo would be a terrible fit

sounds delicious, wont happen though. blockbuster trades like that seem very unlikely.

Would rather stick with Moose/Knight honestly. I think Rondo is too concerned about stats and doesn't provide enough offense. Perhaps he would be a good fit WITH Moose, but I wouldn't deal 2 of our 3 core guys just for Rondo.
Your trade is VERY reliant on us getting Smith/Mayo/Milsap in FA. If we didn't get one of those three after this trade we would be taking a HUGE step back as a team.
Let's stick with Moose/Knight/Drummond and draft another guy to add to the core this year, or ship it off in a package deal to get another young player. Moose showed us last night that he is capable of being a very good bigman offensively. Especially if he develops a jumper. 20/10/3 is not out of the question if he improves his post game and jumper.
I like what I'm seeing from Knight. He plays very well when he's aggressive and he's shown the ability to improve when he puts in work. His pick usage and ball handling have been a lot better this year, and he's getting to the line and finishing better.
All in all, I'm good with our core and don't want to break it up when we have yet to see Dre/Moose/Knight fully develop.

You do understand that if we include Monroe in a trade he gets traded, right?

I highly doubt we'd have to give up Monroe, Knight, and Stuckey to get Rondo.
There was talk before about them trading him for Cousins straight up (+filler). So I don't see why Moose wouldn't be enough by himself, if Cousins were. I think Monroe and Cousins are pretty much considered equal value around the league.
Not sure why Pistons fans always undervalue our players so much, but I don't think I'd trade Moose for Rondo. If we're going to trade Monroe its got to be for another big man in return. PGs are a lot easier to find than bigs. And now that the talent around Rondo is old, we're starting to see his true value. He's not a #1 guy who's going to lead a team to the Finals like a Kidd, Rose, CP3, etc. He;s led his team to only 4 games better than us this year.
I like Rondo, but wouldn't give up Monroe. Maybe Knight, but I really don't like that Rondo is already 27. He's too much older than Drummond, looking longterm.

Rondo is extremely overrated. I never want him on my team.

How about we give Boston another shot at a title with...
Tayshaun + Stuckey + Jerebko + Monroe + Maxiell
for
Rondo + Green + Lee + Sullinger + Filler (Collins/Wilcox/Barbosa)
Rondo / Bynum
Knight / Lee
Green / Singler
Sullinger / CV
Drummond
KG will mask Monroe's defensive deficiencies and allow him to provide Boston with some much needed down low scoring. A lineup of Stuckey / Bradley / Pierce / Monroe / KG with Terry+Tay+Maxiell+Bass off the bench could make some noise in the playoffs. They get out of Rondo+Green+Lee's long and massive deals, remain competitve for a few years, and most significantly grab a franchise center to build around.
Green's contract is long and absurd but that is part of the price the Pistons pay for getting Rondo+Sullinger while dumping Tay and Jerebko's contracts. We should be able to sneak into the playoffs with that lineup giving the Bobcats our pick in what is looking to be a weak draft.
Then during this offseason:
-We could trade CV + Sullinger for Zach Randolph and Bayless
-Sign Millsap to a ridiculously fat three year deal (expires when Drummond is due for his max deal)
-Use our 2014 First Round Pick and the remainder of our cap space to absorb another contract to improve our bench
This trade with the Grizz is not too far fetched considering Memphis saves 10M this year and nearly 28M overall while getting a decent young replacement PF in Sullinger and a scoring expiring PF in CV. Meanwhile the Pistons absorb the 10M from Randolph's contract and still are able sign Millsap to deal he wont be able to refuse.
Rondo / Bayless
Knight / Lee
Green / Singler
ZBo / Millsap
Drummond / Vet C (Thru trade)
That lineup should get to the second round or further. More importantly, learning from Rondo would do wonders for Knight's development as a player. Playing with Randolph will help Drummond develop some post moves and starting alongside Rondo will guarantee at least 4-5 easy dunks / lobs a game. If Lee can get his game together and produce off the bench we would have the depth to go far in the playoffs. In 2 years Rondo+Randolph expire allowing us to sign Knight to a new deal (and hopefully extend Rondo+Randolph to fair deals). In 3 years, Lee, Millsap, and Drummond expire allowing us to give Andre the max.
What do you guys think?

Rondo is a good player but he’s highly overrated, especially defensively. Seems these days he’s more interested in padding stats that truly running the team well.

^^the question is why would boston do that?? Stuckey has negative value around the league.. he will never be an effective team player on a playoff team.. Stuckey sucks no one wants him. I cant wait til he's off the Pistons

^I wouldn't say he has negative value...Everyone except Frank knows that Stuckey should be starting...Stuckey's stats would look better if he received 30mins+ per game...

I say that Prince retires a Piston...So he could be our starting SF for the next 2 seasons...Are you sure you want to pay Prince 6mil, Charlie V 8mil and Green 8mil when they play the same position...

stuckey started at the beginning of the season, the team went 0-8. he played worse than austin rivers at that time

^Yeah he had a bad start, but you can't blame the 0-8 start entirely on Stuckey...We have 5 rookies on our team and 1 player that hadn't played a full season(Knight)...In addition, Stuckey suffered from migraines at the beginning of the season...
Joe Johnson had an awful start this season statistically and his team didn't start off sprinting, but that's doesn't mean Joe Johnson has negative value or sucks...

^ OK let me correct that, Joe Johnson doesn't suck...His bloated contract gives him negative value...
