Paul George

Just was wondering how y'all feel about trying to acquire Paul George...

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a5ypcnv

Of course we'd have to throw in a pick or 2 but I think it would be interesting considering they would have a younger player to play aside with Hibbert. Stucky can run 1 or 2 along side paul hill and granger. Plus they'll have pick(s) to play with as well.

Then we end up being younger and in my opinion a lot better.... would have our starting line up similar to...
B Knight
P George
G Green
David West
Drummond

Yeah I know they'll probably never accept it but P George is a rising SUPERSTAR so yeah it's a long shot but what's wrong with dreaming? lol

If this was at all possible then we would have Corey and David's contracts expiring next year... Then we can pick up some free agents and most likely make a run in the playoffs.

Please don't kill my vibe.

Sorry if this has been posted already but I would give almost anyone on our squad up excluding Drummond

I would probably even trade knight and monroe as much as I hate to say it. I like B Knight a lot!!! I play with him on 2k and he always scores 40+... His 3 point shot on the game is ridiculous... If only he could do that in real life :-?

I honestly won't mind Bynum running point this year (1 year only tho). Might actually help drummond too considering the way they play together

Doesn't have to be this year per-say. Also that's arguable bc Granger is still on their roster... But considering he is a lot younger and shows so much potential I won't disagree.

Agreed dude. I'd love to have Paulie here. I've been thinking about that Gordon trade recently too, and it's starting to make less and less sense to me. There's not many good free agents this summer (unless we overpay for Mayo, probably not worth it) and we can't trade that pick til draft day. Our lack of assets are what's holding us back in trading, and the only things that teams would want from us, Detroit's FO won't wanna give up.

I love Knight too, but he's extremely frustrating. I was really unimpressed with that New York game. Looked like an absolute scrub. I hope he can make a Jrue Holiday-esque turnaround with the next year or too.

Man... I think he can become a good point guard eventually just not with the pieces we have. Think about it how many assist can you expect him to get with our squad... smh. I wouldn't want to pass the ball neither. lol

JK but yeah I figured that but a wise man once told me that EVERYTHING is negotiable *wishful thinking*

It's probably the best that he hasn't touched the floor... it's help Paul elevate his game and made him the go to guy.

i'd love to pickup george, but he is the pacers answer to our drummond. young talented and productive. we have way better chances of getting granger or maybe green

Honestly I wouldn't mind that... Although they're not getting any younger Danny Granger and Gerald Green would complement B Knight and Drummond well in my opinion.

why the hell would Indiana trade Paul ****** George?
(obviously unless it's for Lebron or Durant)

Wait did u just.... never mind
It's definitely possible... just not that probable. I just don't think we have the pieces to acquire him. #sadstory
Only way I can see it happening is if we trade b knight and monroe...

We'd be more likely to get Danny Granger for... not as much as you think

Pacers have payroll issues. They have Hibbert, Granger and Hill making good, big or insane money.

They will soon have to deal with David West and his free agency.. and they still have to deal with Paul George

Unfortunately for them George is last to the pay window... so it might make sense to deal Granger this off-season to give them some wiggle room

I doubt anyone takes Hibbert or Hill... so Granger is the man in the spotlight.

A team with enough cap space could trade a draft pick and get Granger! Time will tell but the Pacers don't make a move before next season's trade deadline I'll be very surprised

I agree that I like Granger alot but it would cost us Monroe and not a draft pick in a trade. While Granger's injury is a concern. he is still a good scorer. For him to fit on the Pistons, we'd have to move Prince. I'd be happy with a Monroe and Prince for Granger and a draft pick type deal.

They won't trade George for any reason unless they're getting an unrealistic return for him.

If there's payroll issues they'll look to deal Granger first, and they'll let West walk if their backs are against the wall and they don't think they can pay both of them. Payroll issues or no, they'll do whatever it takes to keep him in Pacer colors, and they certainly won't trade him while he's on his rookie contract.

There is absolutely Zero chance the Pacers trade Paul George to the Pistons. First and foremost, the offer has to be spectacular and they do like PG more than BK. Thus, it would take Monroe to get h im. Then, Indy would never trade Paul George to a division rival. Paul George is part of their success and there is no reason for them to ever consider trading him, especially to a rival.

Thus, a trade involving PG to the Pistons can only happen in NBA 2k13 or 14!

This is the main reason why that trade would never happen...

I would trade monroe/knight in a heart beat, pick up a pf in the draft sign erick gordon/paul george
lineup
1.bynum/stuckey
2.gordon/english/stuckey
3.george/prince/jonas
4.draft pf/max
5.drummond/?
I doubt we would have enough to get josh smith, but if we could that lineup would be nasty,
