Why wouldn't you want your best perimeter defender guarding their best perimeter scorer? :o

You rather Singler guard Joe Johnson?

Deron is the lesser of the two Nets guard, so of course you put the lesser of your two guard defenders on him, and your best defender on their best scorer.

Are you suggesting we would've had a better chance defending them with Knight/Singler as our backcourt?

^Actually I would. Knight doesn't have the height or strength. He's giving up 5 inches of height and 50 lbs...at least Singler is a bit closer at 6'8 230 while being an underrated athlete.

More so than that, I would actually rather have Knight guard Deron Williams to see how he fares.

There are not many guys in the league who can guard Joe when he plays his game.

I want my best perimeter defender to be at his best and defend his natural position, which is PG. Its obvious to anyone that Knight is better guarding PGs. So instead of at least having one good match up defensively against their backcourt (Knight on DWill), we have none because Knight is very undersized against Johnson, who is a big SG and Calderon just sucks at defense all together. I really shouldn't even need to explain that because it is blatant common sense. I would rather have Knight on DWill and Stuckey on Johnson while Calderon comes off the bench. It's ridiculous how you try to twist things around to try and fit your horrible arguments and it's even worse when you throw on your laughing emoticons as if there's no debate. I doubt you will find a single person on this board who thinks Calderon/Knight is better defensively than Knight/Stuckey.

Your argument makes no sense because Knight/Stuckey would not be the starting backcourt if not for them trading for Calderon. The starting backcourt would be Knight/Singler still. And they wouldn't have even traded for Calderon just to bring him off the bench and start Knight/Stuckey like you want.

No offense, but you're starting to sound like a baby over this whole Knight at SG thing. If you're going to whine about this the rest of the season, you might as well go follow another team because the Pistons have already said they are evaluting Knight at SG the rest of the year, so get over it.

You completely missed the point which doesn't surprise. I'm not arguing about what their going to do. I'm arguing what they should do and starting Knight and Stuckey while bringing Calderon off the bench makes plenty of sense unless you enjoy being a bottom 10 defensive team.

I don't want Knight guarding Joe Johnson even though he is our best perimeter defender....just like I don't want him guarding Lebron.

I truly enjoy some of your post, very well said. common sense dictates, Knight on Williams, Singler on JJ, and someone just under cut G. Wall when he goes flying in.

when calderon and knight are both on the floor knight should guard pgs and calderon should take the 2's. calderon is taller/bigger, knight is quicker
