Charlie V, Maxiell and Bynum are also mentioned as trade candidates, Pistons have been linked to Josh Smith and Gerald Henderson according to this article, cant really copy&paste, take a look

It sounds like to me they're linking Josh Smith to the Pistons based on past rumors.

I hope Dumars makes another trade or two to clear out guys like Stuckey and Bynum but I'll be very upset he tries to trade for Smith and gives him the max. We need wings, not a guy who plays the same position as our best player.

Guys I would love to have traded between now and the deadline for young assets, cap relief, and/or picks:

Stuckey
Maxiell
Bynum

Agreed. If we needed a PF then I'd probably be interested in Smith, but as it stands I don't want to get him, ESPECIALLY if we have to trade assets for him. I'd much rather try and pry Granger away from IND after this season. My guess is they'd be willing to trade him during the draft to get some cap space with how George has played this year.

Regardless of the credibility of Hoopsworld, it makes sense that we would be shopping Stuckey. I'm not sure how much his buyout is for next year, but I think he would be a good addition to a team that wants some depth at both guard spots for a playoff run. You'd only have to pay him for half of this season and buy him out next year (or keep him if he actually fit). We just need to dump him for expirings and hopefully get something tangible (future draft pick?) for the trouble.

I agree i'd take an expiring for him but who has an 8.5 mill expiring to deal? I'd do Stuckey and the BG TPE for Jackson and Blair with cutting Jackson after the deal.

Especially if we trade some of our valuable expirings like Bynum or Maxiell -- or Stuckey, who is still one of our better players.

We need to be searching other rosters for young wings to try and add to Knight/Monroe/Drummond.....or get picks to get wings with.

The problem is that picks are worth alot more nowadays than in previous years. The salary cap has done that. Teams don't give them away anymore. The win no idea isn't as strong as before. I though the Celtics shoulda trade pick(s) once Rondo went down if they didn't plan on dealing Garnett/Pierce.

The Celtics just lost Barbosa too. They seem like a perfect fit for Stuckey!!

The Celtics are cursed this year. I can see them trading a player for Stuckey and Stuckey having a season ending injury on his first game!!!

I'd happily trade Stuckey for an injured Sullinger.

I agree, but I think that starts next year. This summer is "THE SUMMER OF CAP SPACE". We may not have another for a long time (unless for some reason we don't spend this summer). Any extra cap space we get this summer, we can actually use 100% of it because we will be below the cap. In the future, if we are over the cap, dropping 8mil off our payroll just saves us money, but this summer we can actually spend it without limitation. That's why we also need to amnesty CV as well.

I could see either Boston or Portland being interest in Stuckey.

Portland has no bench and Stuckey would fit well with either Lillard or Matthews.

Boston showed interest in Stuckey before and they need him badly now.

I don't know what either team can offer tho. Portland can offer a few small useless expirings, Boston can offer long term contract like Jeff Green or Courtney Lee.

Maybe Houston could use him to play behind Lin and Harden? but then again, Houston is actually a good FA destination so they should value cap space even more than us.

"Seattle" would make sense but with their ownership situation I doubt they can do any moves.

I could see Stuckey being traded to Utah or Phoenix...

I'd trade Stuckey for Courtney Lee in a heartbeat. He plays good defense and is really good at corner 3's, not a bad 3pt shooter overall. His contract is also pretty good (imo) 5mil per year/4 years. I'd definitely like to have him as our backup 2 next year.
