Just Trade Knight Already

Dumars has clearly given up on him and he is clearly not a SG. He is still only in his second year so his stock is still high enough to get value for him. I simply have no interest in midget backcourts and forcing guys out of position. Here is my idea.
Knight/Singler/Maggette/2015 1st rounder for Eric Gordon
I think that might be enough to get EG and give us a 3 headed monster with him, Monroe, and Dre. Next, I would draft Marcus Smart to be our new PG of the future and throw a bunch of money at Iggy, Jack, and Milsap.
Smart/Jack
Gordon/English
Iguodala/Middleton
Monroe/Milsap
Drummond/Monroe

I'll give it until the end of the season and get this trade done near draft day if Dumars shows he wants Calderon to be his full time PG.

Yeah, that would be my ideal offseason at this point which means it's not happening. I'm sure we will roll into next season with something like this:
Bynum/Stuckey
Calderon/Stuckey
Knight/Singler
Villanueva/Kravstov
Monroe/Kravstov/Wallace/Drummond

Knee. Jerk.
This is still the first time Knight has played a few games off-ball with an actual PG. He's still young, athletic, and full of potential. He just has to find his comfort zone out there. I'd give him to the end of the year with Calderon and re-evaluate next training camp. Maybe he'll grow into an actual PG, or shore up his inconsistency plaguing him at the 2.
Worst case: move Knight to the bench and see how he does with the ball in his hands looking to score in an actual Jason-Terry-like role.

yeah, he should be traded. i dont like how this trash organisation is dealing with him at all, he deserved better.
from the leading point guard in the final four in college to the last scoring option behind jason maxiell in a lottery team, that has to hurt

It's not knee jerk. I've been saying we should trade Knight ever since the Calderon trade IF Dumars is really giving up on him, which seems to be the case. If Dumars let's Calderon walk and gives Knight more time to develop then I'm fine keeping him here.

Who wants him?

Everyone. He's young quick PG that's an erratic shooter, weak with the dribble, can't run an offense, and is turnover prone. He is the total package. All Knight needs is an organization that will hand him the keys to the franchise and a good coach that will play him 40 minutes every night. Put Knight in a situation like that and he'll fix all his alleged issues in less than 5 games.

who says anyone gave up on him? he had a run at point guard. now hes getting burn at the two. we're clearly evaluating him. in practice hes still learning the point guard position from jose and the coaching staff. at the end of the season/draft time we'll be we shop him IF we go that route.
im a huge fan if his but i still only expect 16/6 from him with average %s and an alright turnover %. honestly, hes probably best suited for a super-sub role like jason terry.
regardless hes the type of point guard that needs a better team to have better point guard play. give him time.
or just flat out shop him for the BEST deal we can get and that doesnt mean our homer fans need to act like we can get a star player with him as the basis of the deal..

I honestly can't believe Joe Dumars is doing Knight like this...I thought we were headed in a good direction before we traded Prince...We we're 4.5 games outside the playoffs, why in the hell did Dumars f*^# our team over...
If we're going to continue to ruin Knight's development lets just trade him...Knight doesn't deserve this garbage...

16/6 on 43% shooting is being done by exactly 5 guys:
1. Lebron
2. Steph Curry
3. Tony Parker
4. Jrue Holiday
5. CP3

Good thing we didn't draft Jrue Holiday....cuz his first 2 seasons in the NBA were very BK-esque. All of us would have been screaming to trade him too.

I'm sure he will find his rythym soon. Actually he showed that he can be effective at the 2 spot before, today he passed on 2-3 opportunities where he could go to the rim but chose to shoot. In the San Antonio game we saw that he can play his game. He had a similar problem when he was trying to be a distributer early in the season, he was trying to make passes he shouldn't have.
And I'm sure he is understanding the reason he has been shifted to the 2 spot, it is a better fit for him due to his below average ball handling and passing. The thing I like about a Calderon/Knight duo is that Calderon is effective as a spot up shooter too. We saw it today when he was paired with Will. When the two has a good chemistry going they will be pretty good on offense as Knight's above average passing quality is kick outs out of penetration. They are just not at the same page right now as we saw Calderon passing to Maxiell instead of him in 2 occasions. (which would have been good passes if he could knock the open jumpers down, Jose soon will learn that Max is the last option in this offense)

True. Now he's been given the reigns full time and has exploded. Not saying Knight will develop the same way, but completely taking the ball out of his hands like the Pistons have is counterproductive.
I still think Knight has potential at the 1; the 2 games post trade without Tayshaun/Jose he had 10 and 7 assists, iirc, with Bynum getting 8 and 10 as well; i.e, we had a more well-rounded offense.

Jrue has his weaknesses too, he is turning the ball over WAY too much this season.

??
John Wall is averaging MORE turnovers per 36 this year and so far is playing worse than he did last year.

i think Knight can still be allstar, but if Dumars plan on going with JC moving forward i think we should trade him and let him develop somewhere else. Knight clearly is much better with the ball in his hands. Interesting enough, it seems that stuckey's playing much better with JC at the point.
Having said all that, Joe needs to figure out what he intends on doing. I'm still on the knight bandwagon

Does anyone see a knight and westbrook comparison. might be my memory, but i don't quite remember westbrook being a eye popping player his first 2 years. Knight also gets to the rack pretty easily, just can't finish
