Has anyone heard anything about this from other sources?

Pistons ball is so dismal right now I’d love to see me some Drummond soon.

Should just deactivate him for the rest of the season...Would make sure he's 100% going into next season and help with our lottery chances 8-)

Why? It was clear when they played together this season that we were a significantly better team. I've seen enough to tell me that they'll be fine starting with each other going forward.

take this stuff with a grain of sand.. I would want to be safe before he returns. Ease him back slowly

Aside from Drummond himself playing great, if he doesn't get to play the rest of the year, this season will have been a complete failure in terms of developing our supposed "core". How many minutes did Monroe, Knight, and Drummond play together this year? Maybe 10% of the total PT?

Thats inexcusable to waste a whole season and barely ever get your top 3 young players PT together. I understand he's injured now, but there was no excuse the 1st 50 games. And thats why you don't put it off until the end of the year, because you never know what may happen.

I don't want them to rush him back, but if he's cleared to play, they need to get as many games as possible with him and Monroe, Knight, AND Calderon. Remember a big reason they got Calderon was because of how well he would fit with Drummond. Well, they've yet to see them together at all. So if they're considering resigning Calderon, you have to see them play together.

**Vince Ellis tweeted he was on the court shooting in practice today and that he has no pain at all. However, he also said the Pistons report "no change" on Drummonds timetable.

But the timetable was 4-6 weeks, and "a week or so" would put it at right between 3-4 weeks, so its actually not that off the from original timetable, it just could be closer to the 4 weeks than 6 weeks that most thought. In which case he could be back sometime the first week of March

Anyone know what the actual diagnosis was. Someone said a stress fracture, some say its part of "growing pains". i know its not suppose to be a long term injury. i just hope they don't rush him.

Because a lot can be learned about Monroe as a PF before the offseason

I think it was a very slightly fractured Tailbone. When it heals, it heals. I'm sure the medical staff isn't stupid enough to clear him before he's 100% and risk of re-injury is 0.

He better bloody start once he comes back and play 30 minutes a game for the last 15 or so games.

I am sure he is in no condition for this. Just asking for more injuries.

Dery said on one of the postgame shows recently he thinks as soon as Drummond is cleared to play he will start immediately. He said he was supposed to start the game after he got hurt, so basically they view him as a starter now, and if he's cleared to play and practiced before the first game back, theres no need to ease him back in.

I'm sure they'll want to see how Calderon and Drummond work together so they can make a decision on Jose this offseason.

Joe Dumars statement next week:

We must make sure Andre is healthy before he comes back
Better lottery chances!
No reason to take a chance that he re-injures himself

One must always read between the lines...
