Knight with a career high 32 pts at SG tonight. He looked like a real 2 tonight for the first time. I love seeing him go strong to the basket looking to dunk everything. He needs to do that everytime.

Not the first time I've seen it, but he's definitely not consistent. That is not uncommon for a young player and hopefully Knight will work it out, but I'm lil jaded by Stuckey. He'd tease us too.

Its also a stat to be taken with a grain of salt. When a player plays well, he's usually rewarded with more minutes (unless you're Max or Kyle Singler, then you get minutes regardless). I'm a huge Knight supporter, but that's not a telling stat. You have to look at him on a game by game basis, and once he starts stringing these good games on a more consistent basis, we'll have an excellent player on our hands.

Agree. More than other coaches, Frank seems to go with the hot hand...Probably because we don't have anyone who warrants being in no matter how lousy they're playing.

Imagine after this summer when he adds a little more muscle and weight

I thought people might say that, but you should also consider benching him when he has played 20mins or so doesn't allow him enough time to turn around his performance.

I know Frank goes with the hot hand, but I feel Knight would be more consistent if is minutes/role were consistent. He has proven that if given playing time he will perform.

As ComboGuard said, it doesn't mean anything. If Knight isn't playing well, he plays less. It's really that simple. Even then, they aren't mind-blowing numbers or anything.

Isn't that because when he is having a bad game he gets benched?

In games Knight has averaged 10mpg or less, he has averaged 2.1ppg and 1.2asts.

I didn't get to catch the game, but it looks like Knight went off. Who was covering him for the majority of the game?

Beal gaurded him alot of the time. I think I saw Wall as well. I think tonight showed something the Pistons are lacking. The Pistons need a true go to scorer. Don't ignore Calderon who had 18 assists as well. I think the Pistons need an upgrade at SF. If you have Calderon, Knight, Monroe, Drummond, and can find a way to add a Granger type at SF. This team would be nasty to play against,

BK is a beast hopefully the haters lay off of him. Not his fault that the rest of the team sucks. Thats why getting a great draft pick is crucial

The only difference between when knight has a good game and a bad game is

1.) he makes the right decision in transition
2.) he finishes at the rim(knight literally misses 3-4 easy lay ups a game)
3.) instead of taking it into traffic, he pulls up for a jump shot
4.) his three is falling

i like that he's going in for a dunk, i think driving the lane with purpose is going to force teams to respect him in the lane

Ive come to the conclusion that there will be no inbetween for knight,by next season we are going to see the knight we all thought he would be or just another top lottery pick gone to the wayside. What really had me going and thinking maybe in the wizard game was his ballhandling and getting to the rim and finishing.I dont think any of us questioned weather or not he can shoot but if he had that spark that makes a good player special and that was what I saw last night.Their was something that mike and terry were saying on 97.1 that had me thinking, how many games does he look good when playing against crappier teams and how many he looks bad against good teams,I cant really recall but it would be fun to find out. What iam saying is iam rooting for him and if he can string along more games like this at a consistent rate, then my faith in him will be restored.

All I'm saying is, give Knight a GUARANTEED 33-35 mpg (even if he starts slow) and see what we have. Pulling him after he starts slow doesn't allow us to see anything and most likely hurts his confidence.

After next season when he gets 33-35 mpg we will know what we have and can make a final decision on him.

All of these 15-25 minute games are a joke, especially on a booty team.

And here under 30mpg....

Thats 19 out of 59 (32%) games where Knight is playing under 30mpg!!! Unacceptable!

It is funny that people think the 8th pick in the draft has to be a superstar or all-star. People should be happy with legit contributor. I think worst case scenario for Knight would be a Jason Terry type player. A very good 25-30mpg player off the bench. And, that is his Floor!
