I blieve we equally split the lotto combinations, but if neither move up than actual placement settled by simple coin flip.

Do you guys think anthony bennet goes top 6? If that happens Oladipo or Shabazz will be there at 7.

Here's a snip from sbnation...
"In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination(s). The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery."

I might be wrong but I believe it's a coin flip. The split happens if both teams have the same record and are tied in the tie breakers.

We had the same record as Philly 3 years ago, we lost the coin flip they got the #7 record we got the #8, they ended up winning the #2 spot in the lottery and drafting Evan Turner, we drafted Monroe at #8 that year.

Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

I'm hoping Orlando win the Lottery again (conspiracy!) and we land #2!

Man winning all those games down the stretch really hurt our draft position.

Every single year like clockwork, we go on a win streak to end the season to ruin our draft pick.
This is the 4th year in a row this has happened.

@Keith_Langlois

Pistons win both tiebeakers. They go into lottery with No. 7 spot and they also get LAC's 2nd round pick at 56.

I may be wrong on this but from what I'm reading either we got the Clippers 2nd pick this year or it extinguished. #56 is the best possible outcome from the deal to dump Acker.

Hopefully the karma can keep rolling into the actual lotto. At the very least hopefully we don't get jumped in the drawing and at least pick 7th.

This is so overplayed. They beat Chicago, Cleveland, Philly and Charlotte. The only game they wouldn't win normally would be Chicago. They pretty much own Charlotte and Cleveland. Their first win of the year was a blowout of Philly so beating them was not such a shocking thing. So had they not beat Chicago (the only game where you would think they should definitely lose), they'd be 28-54 and tied with Sacramento. They could've just as easily lost a coin flip with them and still been in the 7th draft slot where are now anyway.

David Stern should reward us for our anti-tanking efforts.

I know, right?

But he's probably still pissed the Pistons organization "held back the Jordan era" and not only employed Rasheed Wallace but also won a championship with him.

I feel this is the year stern rigs it for us to be a top 3. I really don't want Dumars drafting in the top 3 of this draft. Whoever falls to us at 7 I'd feel comfortable with. Having a top 3 this yr will be a curse
