trade Slava Kravtsov #7, #38 and 3 million cash to LAC for Eric Bledsoe, they can try to replace Bledsoe with the #7, they could buy a 1st with the 3 million adding 2 cheap players with the late 1st + the early 2nd to fill their roster getting financial flexibility. They can waive Kravtsov and get a 500k cap hit if they don't want him.

Trade Kyle Singler + raw cap space for Danny Granger and Gerald Green. Indiana add a lot of financial flexibility to improve their roster.

Trade Gerald Green and raw cap space for Andrea Bargnani and Terrence Ross. Toronto get out of Bargnani's albatross contract and add a huge TPE in the process.

Trade Jonas Jerebko and a future 2nd (could have some value for a team who will be in cap hell) for Jordan Hill and Chris Duhon. Lakers add a player who would fit nicely in their team playing behind Gasol and Artest. They add a TPE in the process while saving a little bit of money and they get the chance to add a cheap contract to fill their roster next season.

We waive Duhon and take the 1.5 mil cap hit.

Resign Will Bynum for a contract around his old 3 years 10 mil-ish starting at 3.2 mil-ish

Trade Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey for Eric Gordon. NOH add a young replacement in Knight and financial flexibility with Stuckey's partially guaranteed contract and a sizeable TPE.

I stopped reading after this terrible idea and went to the bottom. Looking at your depth chart that I see it didn't get better.

Why do we have to give up more for Bledsoe than the Clippers did for CP3?

I would think that package would get us Bosh or Gasol or Westbrook or several other allstar players. The nets would trade us Joe Johnson for that package in a heartbeat. As would the Magic trade us AA

I usually don't comment when people post their "plans" or "dreams" for this off-season - you want what you want and that's all there is to it...

But:

I understand the thought process behind this (Clips "can't" afford to keep Bledsoe) but if the Clips could buy a first with the $3 mil why can't we?

We'd be the team adding #7, #38 and a late first, still keep Slava and our cap space and not have to extend Bledsoe when the time came.

I'm not sold on Bledsoe being a difference maker on a poor team - here he'd have to be the 2nd offensive option after Monroe. Is he good enough to carry that kind of load for us, while running the offense, while getting players to their spots, while managing the tempo of the game, while ensuring our guys got the ball at the right place and time?

That's a huge load to put on a guy who has never had to do all those things on his own

Why dump English? He's cheap, has shown some potential... I don't see the point of letting him go

WOW! Indiana say No! Why would they give a division rival Granger and Green for Singler? They have cap issues, but surely they can get a better package for Granger?

WHAT? So we somehow get Green and Granger for Singler and space... then get Bargs and Ross for Green and space? You do realise you just turned Singler and cap space into Granger, Bargs and Ross?

There is no way on this planet or any other could get that done. None!

You've essentially used our cap space to get Bledsoe, Granger, Bargs and Ross... all you had to do was dump #7, #38, CV and Singler... DAMN!

How about 2 obvious trades:

Stuckey to Orlando for Afflalo = Orlando are tanking, looking to "earn" high Draft picks to build around. Yes they have to reach the minimum team salary but they can do that with expiring contracts instead of long term deals... plus Hedo Turkoglu expires next off-season as well so getting Stuckey for Afflalo clears another $8 mil off their books for the 2014 off-season.

CV to Phoenix for Gortat - are Phoenix going to follow the Orlando model (which is really the Thunder model) and tank next season? They don't really have much to build with right now but if they land a quality player from the 2013 Draft and a stud from the 2014 Draft AND have money to spend next off-season they could sell hope to their fanbase

Assuming we hire this Euro coach, retain Calderon for 3 years, sign Millsap for 3 years and Aminu for 4 years:

Drummond/Gortat
Monroe/Millsap
Aminu/Singler
Afflalo/Middleton
Knight/Calderon

throw in our 2013 Pick and away we go

They are tanking... although Phoenix probably says no as Gortat has an expiring contract too (maybe? not sure)

IMO Orlando does that deal in a heartbeat. Afflalo is signed to a long term deal and if they really want to tank then Stuckey is their man

They had the worst record in the NBA with Afflalo on their team. They don't need any additional help in their tank.

wow guys I know im new here and should spread some positivity but there is a bit too much optimism going on right now. Granger not gonna nappen, although i like the idea of going after bledsoe, if we can get him at the right price.

Pharaoh- Like the thinking but no way Phoenix does CV for Gortat, but the stuckey for Afflalo could happen. Orlando gets a guy and is still able to tank for Wiggins or Parker, we make an improvement. everbody wins.

Now all we need is Euro-Phil lol!

I really don't see any of those trades happening or any of those teams considering the offers.

Clippers can't afford to give Bledsoe an extension so they turn him into 3 guys they can afford. They try to find a replacemente with the #7 which is a crap shot so they get 2 more cheap young players hoping that they can contribute.

For us, we would be trying to compete but stay somehow young so we can develop chemistry over the years and get better every year. Bledsoe is young and has shown he can be a way above average starter PG in this league and he is a top 3 defensive PG, probably the best defensive PG in the league, he would be excellent for us since neither Granger, Gordon and Monroe are top defenders for their position.

It is a lot to give up for Bledsoe but I believe he is worth it.

Gerald Green is negative value, he is signed for 2 more years after this season and he did not live up for his contract. It would be great for Indiana to replace him with raw cap space.

Granger for Singler (cheap replacement playing the role he should, a backup playing 15 minutes a game and not having to do too much) and around 16 million in raw cap space is a lot, I don't think any other team can offer them that. Sure other teams can offer players for Granger but after the crap season and the injury issues who would commit that much? Give me something concrete and I will re-think this part but for me I think it's fair.

IIRC a bunch of non Detroit posters in the TnT boards posted deals like Granger and Green for Jerebko, which is much worse than the idea I am using here.

Toronto been trying to get out of Bargnani's contract and it was reported they'll need to add incentive to get out of his deal.

Terrence Ross is the obvious incentive. If we're getting Ross, we have no place for Green, if they're losing Ross, they could use Green.

Green is a negative asset but he is a much smaller contract compared to Bargs.

Toronto who is in cap hell would be getting a huge TPE adding the possibility to chase a player they like more than Bargnani and fit their needs better. This would be a dream scenario for Toronto imo.

For us, Bargnani could take CV's place, he is way more talented than CV but he is paid a lot more tho. I had us trading for Jordan Hill so we could have an athletic shot blocker to pair with Bargnani in our 2nd unity, trying to emulate what we did with Dre and CV in our 2nd unity last season.

Yeap, all those players are available and in every deal I posted we are giving up fair value and the teams are getting back a justifiable package. We end up with an awesome team don't we? too bad that's too many things combined to be realistic but if we can pull 1 or 2 of those moves I'd be ecstatic.

From what I got.

Eric Gordon trade is fair value.

Bledsoe trade is fair value. (we give up too much)

Granger trade is bad for Indy according to people around here. I don't think it would ever happen because we're division rivals fwiw but I think that's a great deal for Indy.

Bargnani trade is fair value despite of the hate?

Jordan Hill trade was ignored so I have no idea
