They don't want people to get prematurely upset when they give OJ Mayo and Tyler Hansbrough max contracts.

Hopefully Milsap and Butler.

I honestly think Joe will make a few small signings and not go after the bigger fish, but i've been wrong more than i've been right

well we need a starting 2 and 3, and a backup big. will most likely be targeting anyone in that description.

personally i think a trio of mayo, iggy, and hickson makes sense.

knight/ stuckey
mayo/ stuckey
iggy/ ? (middleton?)
monroe/ hickson
drummond/ monroe

I really expect either 1) some short term, no risk contracts to guys like Aminu or Jerryd Bayless or 2) Joe maintains cap space in anticipation of favorable trade offers.

I'd be surprised to see Joe give a big contract to a Mayo or Monta type for fear of repeating the BG summer and I don't think we can land one of the bigger names due to our youth, recent history and location.

Jimmy Butler is the only one I want and he's not a FA.

Re-signing Calderon, drafting Oladipo (w a solid second round big), and hiring a coach less rigid than Frank would be a quiet but solid off-season.

I'm for any shooters that aren't asking for five million a season also.

I'm still not sold on Calderon returning but I agree that a quiet off-season, at least in terms of FA, is best. We don't want BG/CV 2.0 Save our money and wait until we can help a team with cap problems.

Josh Smith
Andre Iguodala
Danny Granger
Eric Gordon
Chris Paul

Give me any one of these. I don't care who.

why are people so hard for josh smith, still? he does not fit this team unless we do a s&t with monroe for smith and then we better be asking for more and thats when atlanta says no.

People are still hard for Smith because he's talented defensively...If you watched every game this season you would notice that we don't have a lot of talent...

Dalembert
Brandon Wright
Millsap
Smith
Calderon(only as a back-up)
Aminu(maybe)
Allen
Mayo
Ellis
Hickson
Iggy

Anyone on this list...We need talent on our team in the worst way...I'm tired of being laughed at in the gym because my Pistons aren't winning... 8-)

It sucks that the season that we have heaps of cap space the FA class is crap :(

If we add one of Aminu/Brewer and one of Mayo/E. Gordon and one of Speights/Hickson I'll be happy and our team will be good.

I don;t think the FA class is crap!

I think it lacks a lot of big name targets... but there are plenty of players available who could really help us

The drama with the class is that some teams might overpay simply because they missed out on a "name". We don't want to be one of those teams

IF we can get 3 quality guys all starting at $6 mil per then it will be a good off-season...

It sucks that the Warriors are doing so well in the post-season... highly unlikely Jarrett Jack leaves them unless he gets some insane contract

so you assume i didnt want every game, why? if you paid attention to advanced stats youd know that no matter how good he is on defense..hes not good on offense. he puts up empty stats. and if we play him at the three? hes going to be even worse on offense and not the type of defensive player he normally is.

I'm with Pugz on this one.
Smith isn't the type of guy we should target

I didn't mean to offend you, that wasn't my intent...All I was saying was that his defensive talent is better compared what we currently have now...I respect and I actually agree with you that he wouldn't be the best fit, but overall talent-wise Smith at the 3 is better than Singler or Middleton at the 3 any day of the week...I'm not really an advance stat guy, I've played basketball all my life so I just judge players off there play and heart...
