The eye test

They say the eye test is the best way to evaluate a player before you confuse things with advanced stats and measurements. So I thought it would be fun to rate players based strictly on what you've seen them do on the court. I don't care if its a full game or just highlights.

1. Trey Burke
Nuff said. We've probably seen the most from him and he's done some amazing things. That's why he's the player of the year.

2. Nelens Noel
If you look at any of his highlights from HS or college you have to be amazed by the explosive athleticism he has for his height.

3. Anthony Bennet
This kid looks almost unstoppable in HS and college and tries to dunk everything.

4. Dennis Schroder
He looks lightning quick, when I was watching his analysis on DX I was impressed even when they were showing his weaknesses (Finishing) because he was getting to the basket so easy. Plus he plays really good man defense.

5. Ben Mclemore
Looks real smooth and athletic, hits jumpers.

6. CJ McCullum
Looks like he's good at everything

7. Shabazz Muhammad
Not pretty, but scores in so many ways.

8. Victor Oladipo
Has super hops, quick with the ball.

9. Allen Crabbe
Has super range on his shot.

10. Tony Snell
I had to add him here because the only game I saw him play was in the division championship vs UNLV, I didn't even know who he was but he was looking like Kobe out there and totally overshadowing Bennett (Who was the reason I was watching the game in the first place).

I'll add Ray McCallum for our 2nd rounder (from U of D)... very little not to like (McDonalds all american that chose to play for his Dad at U of D).

Trey Burker- going to be next best PG in this league, kids a winner

Nerlen Noels- ceiling is what Tyson chandler should have been, his hands will probably keep him at current Ty Chand.

Anthony Bennet- play will translate well to the nba, i think he'll find things aren't as easy and guys are bigger, which means he'll have to develop the other aspects of his game. The difference between him being good and great will be his work ethic

Denis Schro- Brandon Jennings 2.0. i think he's going to struggle his first 2-3 years until he puts on size, i think his career path is going to follow guys like Jennings and Conely

Ben Mclemore- pure shooter, great athleticism , no killer instinct. i think he becomes a Joe Johnson type player that beast but under the radar.

Shabazz- if i was really honest with my self, i think he's a late round pcik. Athleticism isn't elite, though he can score its probably ugly, watching him play it seems like he's more lucky than good. if he commits to the defensive end, he becomes a must have player

Victor Oladipo- he reminds me so much of A. Barbosa. but better. His stroke isn't that clean but its nice especially when you consider where he used to be. i think he eventually develops into a elite three point shooter and his release is quick, and you have to respect his slashing capability. i don't know where his ceiling is, but the fact that he's considered a great defender puts his ceiling at a whole nother level.

Cody Zeller- seems like a much bigger more skilled Psycho T.

I can see Bennett as a more athletic David West.

I'll third this idea.

I think the kid has enough upside to his athleticism that he could potentially be a great backup for a team.
