Would Singler and #8 or JJ & #8 do it?

Lets face it... There is not a perceived allstar caliber talent in the 1 or 2 spots!!

It won't do it. It will have a much higher price than the actual value of Noel/McLemore.

It would cost Monroe most likely. I think Cleveland wants a proven 4 or 3 who is young to move the pick. If we are truly all out rebuilding and think McLemore is the answer to our SG needs. I'd entertain Monroe for the pick but I'd want more than the pick. We could add a small forward and Josh Smith in FA. Maybe Monroe and Stuckey for 1 overall, 3 mill cash (Max allowed in a trade to pay off CV) and Tyler Zeller. Amnesity DNP-CV as well. It would also allow us to sign two max FAs after that deal.

PG Burke (or McCollum via draft)/Knight
SG McLemore/Kim English
SF Andre Iggudala/Kyle Singler/Khris Middelton
PF Josh Smith/Jonas Jerebko
C Andre Drummond/Tyler Zeller/Slava Krastov

We should not entertain Monroe or Drummond for any pick in this entire draft. We wont end up with Burke/McLemore, because both are top 5 locks, and McCollum is not a PG.

I would trade Knight, #8 & Singler for McLemore, if Cleveland, Orlando or Washington is interested.

He's correct.

Also, I doubt Cleveland is going to trade any #1 picks to a division rival.

If we're swapping #8, and we don't add any future picks, and it's just players not named Knight, Monroe or Drummond, sure, and we can get McLemore. Otherwise, we'll have to pass.

McLemore must be a sure all-star if you say that. *shrug*

I'm sorry but i'd entertain offers for Monroe if they are good. I'm sorry but if Cleveland offered the 1st, 19th, 31st, and 33rd overall pick for Monroe and took back Villanueva I think I would be down. We'd have max money to replace Monroe, IE Josh Smith plus Monta Ellis and add alot of good pieces around Drummond. McLemore would be a great add. I like Monroe but he's not a good fit at PF. We could also move 8 and 19 to get up to get 3 as well. Trade our three high seconds to get back into the first to get Withey as well.

PG Monta Ellis/Brandon Knight/Second Round Pick (Clippers Pick)
SG Ben McLemore/Kim English
SF Otto Porter/Kyle Singler/Khris Middleton
PF Josh Smith/Jonas Jerebko
C Andre Drummond/Jeff Withey/Slava Krastov

First Mclemore/Burke and then McLemore/Porter?....

We are not going to get Porter/Burke with the 8th pick.

As I said before, I would not trade Moose for any pick in this draft. I like Noel and think him and Dre would make one heck of a defensive tandem, but at 206 lbs and with that injury history...it's too much of a risk.

No that would not get it done, and frankly I wouldn't want the #1 or #2 pick in this class. #3-5 would be of interest to me or acquiring a 2nd mid to late lotto pick, depending on the cost. I'd be OK absorbing some salary, provided it's expiring, but would not part with Monroe/Drummond to accomplish either of those purposes.

I'd be fine with trading Monroe if it was a good deal, but trading him and Villanueva to Cleveland for Tyler Zeller and the #1 and #19 picks would be terrible. I'd like a top 5 pick in this draft, but Monroe is definitely worth more than that, not to mention Villanueva is an expiring which makes him worth something. He's no longer a player you just try and dump for whatever comes along. Cleveland would be playoff contenders pretty much immediately with Monroe, imo. If this draft was a lot stronger, then maybe Monroe for the #1 would be a fine deal, but this year there's no way in hell. Especially since there's no consensus #1 player, so there's a chance regardless of who you want that they might be available at #8.

It will never happen, but I'd trade Monroe straight up for the #1 overall. Because I think there are PF's in the FA market but never top scorers. I mean David West or JSmoove beside Drummond, with McLemore in the back court would be hard to pass up. And we'd still have the #8 to use.

I agree about there being good PFs in free agency this offseason, but there's still no way I'm trading Monroe for the #1 pick. I'd trade Monroe for a good SG/SF with a few years under their belt like Kahwi, Bradley Beal, maybe Harrison Barnes, etc. but definitely not the #1 pick. There really isn't any player worth trading Monroe for in this draft. If there was a consensus #1 this year then I'd entertain the idea more. But whoever you get at #1 this draft has pretty much the exact same chance of busting as any other pick in the lottery.

Moose and Dre are off limits for the top pick. And rightfully so.

PG-Burke-Knight
SG-Gordon or Chandler-Stuckey
SF-#8-Middleton-singler
PF-Josh smith-FA-jj
C-Dre-FA-Tyler Zeller
Thats really inticing,if that would happen for trading monroe I would be all over that for that lineup.
