Bow down to my fakeGM off-season plan.

1. 38th pick and 56th pick for 13th pick and Marion
2. Trade English for a future 2nd, Middleton for two future 2nd's, Kravstov for two future 2nd's. All to the West.
3. Make our protected 1st to Charlotte unprotected in 2014. Get back their 2nd of this year.
4. Trade our remaining 12 2nd's of next 7 drafts to OKC for the 12th pick.
5. Trade 8th pick to Utah for 14th and 21st pick.
6. Draft: 12/13/14/21 = Schroeder/Gobert/Dieng/Kabongo
7. Trade Jerebko for Afflalo and Hedo
8. No-contact orders on Willy, Jose, Corey and Jason. Actually that is #1. Too lazy to re-type.

Knight/Schroeder/Kabongo
Afflalo/Stuckey
Marion/Singler/Hedo
Moose/CV
Drummond/Gobert/Dieng

1. Stuckey/Marion/Hedo/CV are all large expirings. Can spend much more than a Moose extension in 2014.
2. Back-up point guard and back-up center? We're awesome and for much less than the price of free agents.
3. An exciting team to watch. Should make the Playoffs and be attractive to free agents due to upside.

EDIT: I think this puts us between the minimum cap and the salary cap. Closer to the salary cap. It's all about making Gores some money so he will spend it later when we CONTEND. And that might happen the following season.
Also, I think there is merit in letting Knight/Moose/Drummond have more responsibility for a season. Afflalo wouldn't get in the way of that. None of the vets would. But with back-up point-guard and back-up center on lock and with Afflalo and Marion playing perimeter defense as seamless teammates, this team really should get the 7th or 8th seed in the L'Eastern Conference.
Imagine the gains in experience before Moose's extension and with the cap room to add a max player on top of that. We wouldn't care about not having a draft pick all things considered.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not? It starts off alright, then it becomes ridiculous.

Middleton could potentially demand a second rounder. Nobody is going to give Detroit anything for English or Slava. Nobody!

Then you just go off on this ridiculous tangent of pick trades that simply never happens in this short of a time span. You're talking about 15 picks changing hands in the span of a few weeks.

Then you cancel the protection on Detroit's 2014.....WTF man!?! Your plan is to have half the team composed of rookies, almost the entire team will have 1 year or less experience under their belts and then you want to give the 2014 pick to the Bobcats! WHY?!? That team is ending up in the lottery, they're terribly inexperienced.

This might be the craziest plan I've seen. You actually make signing Josh Smith and Igoudala seem like a smart idea.

LOL, not a joke but okay.

Actually after my shower, I realized that I probly went over the cap a tad. Probly would need a buy-out or 2 or even an amnesty of CV-DNP. The amnesty route would be enough itself to put us under the cap and still sign a stretch-4 like Austin Daye for 3-4 million.

And if I were a GM, I would give a 2nd for English or Kravstov. I would actally give a 2nd and hj for English.

"Half the team of rookies" "Almost the entire team with 1 year or less experience" "terribly inexperienced"
well, you're way wrong in a verifiable way here.

Headed for lottery????
Compare that roster to the 7th and 8th seeds of this year in the East and ask yourself again.
It would be a top-defensive team and some inside/outside offense with some shooting.
Couldn't be too bad. Even if we get 9th or 10th place in the East, Charlotte takes the pick.
