Some projections have him available to us at 37. Would you like to see us grab him?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

The guy is a moron, and was one of the worst athletes at the combine.

There's a real possibility he doesn't even get drafted.

I'd take him with our second 2nd rounder.

He doesn't have much chance to be a starter in the league, but he was a better high-usage offensive player against much better competition than Shabazz for instance. I'm not saying we should take him--there are some red flags sticking straight out of his brain--but give him some credit, great shooter who uses his length and size well and put up 20 pts per in the grind-it-out Big Ten. He should be able to score off the bench in the NBA.

Upside tends to be overrated on this board--if you can get a guy in the second round that has a 45% chance of being a good 7th man, that's better financially and talent-wise than drafting a guy who has a 7% chance of being a good starter, don't you think?
