Trade Idea with OKC
TO OKC: PG/SG Rodney Stuckey
TO DET: C Kendrick Perkins and SG Jeremy Lamb
OKC is in win-now mode and Stuckey off their bench will help them win more games than Perkins and Lamb. Stuckey basically fills Martin's/Harden's role as first guy off the bench there. Ibaka will move to C and PJ3 will play more minutes there:
Westbrook / Jackson
Sefolosha / Stuckey
Durant / Liggins
Collison / PJ3
Ibaka / #12 pick / Thabeet
TO DET: C Kendrick Perkins and SG Jeremy Lamb

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
I can't begin to imagine the fan backlash if the Thunder traded Harden/Perkins for what amounts to Rodney Stuckey & the 12th pick in a bad draft.

OKC can Amnesty Perkins so I think they would prefer to do that than add Stuckey.

I'd do it for the Pistons. However, OKC might be planning to use Lamb as part of bigger trade than for a Stuckey.

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
Why do people still think Stuckey has value? Do u people seriously consider Stuckey a player that can contribute to a contender? Stuckey belongs on the bobcats and even they won't take him

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
I feel we will do something w OKC, Some young guys I would like PG3, Lamb and thabit, #12 and #27. They might want some cap relief cause good players would want to sign with them cause they will be containers for a long time. Some thing like
OKC: #8, #37 CV or Stucky, Singler
Det #12 #27 PG3 or Lamb, Perkins

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
This was a similar trade idea I proposed a couple of weeks ago, trading away Stuckey for the youngbloods like JLamb or PG3. I don't want Thabeet since he sucks. Stuckey would be a better player than Derek FIsher coming off the bench and can also lead the games as well.

Yes I would do this trade!..I think this trade is realistic too...Perkins can bring toughness to our team and Lamb can compete for a 6th man role...I don't see Collison or PJ3 starting for the Thunder though...
Westbrook
Sefolosha/Stuckey
Durant
Ibaka
#12 pick

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
I think for this summer to work well, we have to trade with either OKC or Houston. Maybe even both, since they're looking to move assets for either cap relief or to fill a need.

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
This got me thinking if i'd rather move #8 for Lamb or take Shabazz
I think i'd take Shabazz, but I wonder if that Dallas pick could get me Lamb too.
Man what an upgrade to our 2 that would be with the two of them.

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
One year of Perkins as a backup, enforcer and locker room presence isn't bad. Lamb would be the gem of the deal, despite the fact that he and Drummond weren't exactly buddies at UConn.
Despite that, I don't think OKC would have any interest.

Nothing said in a matter of fact, but Lamb was pretty down on Drummond when asked about him during the drafting process last year, saying he needs to learn how to play hard, and being generally disparaging.

Jeremy Lamb is one of the most charismatic guys in the league. He needs to tone down the enthusiasm

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
OKC says hell no.
Perkins may not fill the stat sheet, but he's definitely a locker room presence. If OKC intends to contend next year, removing perkins and adding stuckey is the step in wrong direction. While i think Stuckey becomes a phenomenol motivated player on a contender, he has been nothing but hype here in detroit. There's a reason why we are trying trade him for a overpaid big man(that we don't need) and project SG, and its because he sucks 80% of the time

this thread reminded me of how bad okc f*cked up on the harden trade..they would've been a dynasty had they not signed perkins.

totally disagree. i think its still 50/50. Harden isn't the player he is today if he's on OKC getting fewer minutes and a lot fewer touches.

Re: Trade Idea with OKC
That's not the case in the present since they tweet things to reach other time to time in a joking fashion. It's actually pretty funny.ImHeisenberg wrote:Clarity wrote:ImHeisenberg wrote:One year of Perkins as a backup, enforcer and locker room presence isn't bad. ??? Harden was actually less efficient on the rockets than on OKC, and his advanced stats fell off a bit (especially efg and true shooting percentages). He was great on the thunder, he just got more of a chance on HOU to show the casual fan-- who pays more attention to points per game than PER--what he was already doing.
He's not an all-NBA candidate if he's still on OKC, but he's still the same awesome player. Do you really think it's 50/50 that J Lamb and #12 turn out better than harden?
