Stucky and Knight for Rondo.
Love to have an all-star PG and if Boston is having a fire sale now is the time.

Please, Rondo would command substantially more than Stuckey/Knight. He's young enough the Celts don't need to move him like they do Pierce/KG but if they did they would want a lot of rebuilding assets. A mediocre combo guard who's upside is questionable and a lil cap relief ain't gonna get it done.

Let's say we give them even more cap relief and take Green and Lee off their hands for a 2016 1st/CV expiring. If they want to go all hands on deck for a quick 2014 rebuild that'll give em tons of cap space and a full tank job.

Jeff Green is a realistic target who shouldn't command much back.

I'd definitely be interested in acquiring Jeff Green. I'm just concerned about his defense. If he can play good D though, then I'd be all for the acquisition. ESPECIALLY if BOS only (or mostly) wants cap relief for him. How's Fab Melo? Is he serviceable as a backup C? Because if so I think we should acquire him too. But only if he's a decent upgrade over Slava.

Green is a great defender.

Alright. I'm all aboard the #GetJeffGreen bandwagon then =P

You might want to hop off. Last time I lead the Shabazz bandwagon it exploded

Haha, well, the way I see it we need an athletic SF who can shoot the 3, defend, and score a little bit. He does that while being younger and (most likely) cheaper than Iggy. And with how Boston is entering rebuilding mode, I bet they'd be willing to trade him straight up for cap relief.

I'm sure Boston would make us take Gerald Wallace in a deal for Rondo or Green so id just pass.

What the hell, let's keep this going.
A conditional 2nd rounder for Rondo!

No way Boston trades Jeff Green or for that matter Rondo for a straight salary dump. They could just build with those two if they wanted.

Singler/English/2nd/TPE
for
Green/Lee
Celtics go into full-blown WIGGINS tank mode and save a ton of cash.

You can't be serious. Danny Ainge would laugh at that offer.
Rondo/Green/Sullinger/Bradley are the four players he's moving forward with. You're not just going to be able to trade mediocre role players and 2nd round picks for them.

That team is too good to get a chance for Wiggins and not good enough to make the playoffs.
BTW, I don't think Green is worth that money but I can see why some fans want him.

Andrew Wiggins isn't the be all, end all. The 1996 draft is arguably the best draft ever and the best player was picked 13th. 2014 has tons of great players expected to enter the draft. And no matter what the roster is, getting the #1 pick is pure luck. We've seen that you can assemble the worst roster in NBA history and fail to get the top pick and we've seen you can have a 30 win team and still get the #1 pick.
Danny Ainge isn't trading Jeff Green or Rondo or Sullinger or Bradley for a crap package with the hopes that his team is lucky enough to win the lottery.
And Jeff Green is worth his contract. He wasn't fully recovered from his heart surgery until post all-star break in which he put up 17 PPG on great efficiency and in the playoffs he put up over 20 PPG on good efficiency all while playing great defense.
