With only couple days away, do we cut Stuckey or Kravstov?
In Stuckey's contract, we can cut him and it will only costs us $4 million. If we don't cut him, by Sunday he will be scheduled to make $8.5 million.
For Kravstov, his contract becomes fully guaranteed if not cut by tomorrow.
Do these guys get cut or one more shot?

Both of them should get cut. I don't want Stuckey anywhere near our team. And I don't think Slava is good enough to be in the league.

I'd rather we cut Stuckey, but at this point I don't see it happening. We absolutely can't cut Slava, imo. His contract is tiny (1.5mil) and he's currently our only backup C. And even if we sign a backup C in FA, he'd be a good 3rd string C in case of injury. With Mitchell on the roster though, and a coach who doesn't hate Jerebko, I think we should amnesty/trade Villaneuva for sure. Make JJ the backup PF and give Mitchell an opportunity to see some playing time.

Monroe is due a new contract next season so keeping contracts like those along with CV will keep us closer to min contract range without having to sign longer FA contracts to replace those guys.
plus it has a side benefit of keeping us in the hunt to keep our 14 1st.

the crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe

I fully agree with you. Ideally, I'd love if it we cut both AND amnesty DNP-CV. Not only could give KCP the keys to the backcourt on day one, but we can throw contracts at players to overpay them but only for one year. Like what the Mavs did last year. Also like with David West in Indiana were they over paid short-term to keep their long-term flexibility.

Let's face it. Slava is only good as a human victory cigar at this point.

Re: With only couple days away, do we cut Stuckey or Kravsto
I disagree. He definitely didn't look like a quality backup C when he played last year. He was, however, a pretty good 1 on 1 defender. He was awful at rebounding, but we shouldn't give up on a player making almost nothing, especially when he's our only backup C. I definitely don't want him as our backup next season, but he's good insurance and currently we really don't have any other option.

Doubt we let either of them go in all honesty.
CV, on the other hand, might be amnestied.

Sundays the deadline to decide on Stuckey? that sucks, I thought we could buy him out at any time throughout the season.

Re: With only couple days away, do we cut Stuckey or Kravsto
Kravstov (I think that's the first time I typed his name) is not a big deal. We need an inexpensive backup in the post, if not him, then who. Not a big deal either way.
I would assume we are working hard to trade Stuckey, but if a team thinks that we would release him, then he doesn't have much trade value. The only way another team benefits is if we are taking back a big salary and I doubt that is our strategy (except maybe Granger?).
I not only think Stuckey is on our team at the beginning of the season, I think he is our starting PG.

Would have liked to seen Stuckey traded to a team wanting to cut him and get the cap savings on draft night.

Stuckey isn't going anywhere. As much as he should be. Will continue to be a team cancer with no role with us. Another Dumars blunder.

They should cut Krapstov, but they won't.
Suckey is only as valuable to this team as any expiring contract is. Hopefully he's gone before August.

with 4 million of space we'd get from buying him out, we'd probably be looking at a similar if not worst player. His expiring and Mo Cheeks potential to get in his head, should be valuable enough to pay him the 8.5. There's little to no risk, and stuckey hasn't told joe to cut him, meaning he wants to be here
