What do you guys think? Drummond is gonna get a lot more run this next year, so I ask you the question. How will Greg Monroe transition to the 4 full time???

I'm interested in hearing what his off-season workout routine is with a move to PF. Will he lose some weight to try and aid his speed/agility? But there is only so much he could do if he's also going to be used as the primary Ce back-up.

He doesn't need to lose weight. He just needs to develop his jumpshot.

I believe it's entirely possible. He needs that mid-range jumper to go down at a good clip, that's the first thing.
Then, he needs to become a more focused defender. We all know he's never going to be a shot blocking machine. But, he can be a passable defender. He needs to be able to stop his man, and make them work for their shot without fouling. He doesn't need to be DPOY, just passable.
If I were anyone with input into his training, I would look at what Zach Randolph has done to improve his defense.
It's really those two things- hitting the jumper and becoming a passable defender.
If they bring in Rasheed Wallace to coach him, that will be a great help as well.

He'll still get minutes at C with Drummond on the bench, but I think he'll be fine. His face up game and ability to pass out of the high post are already assets. It's no big secret that his mid-range J is the big question mark, but hopefully he's been putting some work in. Monroe will be just fine. Having shooters to space the floor is only going to help him & Drummond.

Moose/Dre can work I believe. Especially now that they have KCP to make people pay for doubling. Moose is good one on one in the post...double team, not so much. Now he can operate with room.

It worked great at the end of the season. Why wouldn't it now.

Dre can guard the 4 if its that much of an issue.
If I recall, when Dre and Moose were playing together last year, the team gave up the fewest PPP.

He needs to work on mid-range and hit the weight room and workout those legs, watch him when he runs ,he drags his feet it will also benifit him in getting past his defender or staying in front of.

It's the way he runs. He can come back with Steve Francis/Ray Allen legs, he'll still drag them. What, is he going to work out with a track coach to change his running motion too?

Yes. Easily. Stop asking this silly question already.

Monroe can definitely play PF full-time. Like others have stated, he just has to develop his 12-17 foot J.

Greg will likely split time at PF and C, I see 18 minutes at both spots.

Yeah I wish people would stop acting like the difference between PF and C is akin to Miggy switching from 1st base to 3rd base. What is playing PF full time anyway?

Yes. I'm confident that he will be able to knock down his mid range jumper consistently next season. He started to get into a decent rhythm at the end of last season and with a whole off-season to work on it I think he will be fine.

Worried defensively...but if he's their only defensive liability, its possible it could work. But he'll have to develop a mid range shot and start over-powering 4s for this to make sense. The good thing is he has the frame to play stronger and I don't think his shot is hopeless.

His release needs to be automatic
You need to add an SF that can play some point, and help Monroe on defense.
Iguodala is a perfect fit, it's a shame that he isnt 5 years younger.
