Monroe/Jerebko/Stuckey for Rondo

Sign Josh Smith & Iggy

Rondo/Knight/Siva
KCP/Middleton/English (starting spot would be a brawl between Knight, KCP, Singler, Middleton)
Iggy/Singler
Smith/Mitchell
Drummond/Krav

IMO that's our best possible offseason.

Why trade Monroe for Rondo. Do PG led teams win championships nowadays? And with Rondo's diva attitude he'll think he's the alpha. No thanks.

Obviously Rondo is a superstar, but I'm not sure if I want to give up Moose for him. Whilst that team would be very good, I doubt that it would be good enough to win a championship. I would prefer to keep our core (Moose, Dre, KCP, Knight) together and allow them to develop, whilst surrounding them with other free agents, rather than blowing it up and going into 'win now' mode.

Rondo's already proven he can win a championship as a starting PG, and was probably the best player on the '10 team during their run to Game 7 of the Finals. Besides he wouldnt necessarily have to lead us to a championship as the scenario presented here looks like we would have all-stars up/down the roster.

Do not want to deal Monroe for anything other than another all star PF or young PF on the rise.

i HATE the idea of trading monroe. i really feel like that is our key to success. i want to be a team that DOMINATES the paint with drummond and monroe. monroe can be an elite post player, both low or high. i want that to be our identity, not the clippers 2.0 or something similar, because they are never going to win the title with the team as it is right now. there is precedent for big teams winning championships if they all come together. a successful run and gun team is very rare.

When we talk about trading GM... who is our backup center again?
Drummond consistently plays above the rim... with his weight he will get injured... Kravs as a starting 5?

Is that team likely to win a championship or even compete with Miami, Brooklyn, Indiana, Chicago?

Our back-up bigs are nothing more than potential...

Our entire SG rotation is nothing more than potential... and Knight :-)

Rondo, Iggy, Smith and Drummond is exciting... but I don't think it's a championship calibre team. We'd be lucky to crack the top 4 of our Conference... which isn't a bad thing

Are we so desperate to get back into the playoffs and into the "top 4" that we'll gamble to this extent? Rondo coming off an ACL injury, Smith and Iggy rely a lot on athleticism... you're looking at a 3 year window of cracking the top 4... while over in Brooklyn the mad Russian seems willing to spend whatever it takes to compete within the same time frame

Obviously you don't sit back and say "we can't compete for the next 3-4 seasons"... but should you go all in?

I think the answer is yes. This suggested team is not ruining any of our team right now besides Monroe. Now if you think Monroe, is a big that is going to the be the key piece to lead us into contendership than that's one thing. But to be honest we need another elite player, we probally are too good to get one in the draft, so I'm confused on how we are going to get one. It's always going to look like we can't win the championship as long as Lebron is on a different team, it's the same as Jordan. So unless you want to be in the lottery or 7/8th seed for the next 8 or so years during Lebrons peak, we eventually have to go in for a top 4 seed

Pistons should sign Ellis, Iggy and Kaman after trading Stuckey for a late 1st or 2nd round pick.
