Wayne Ellington. Really?

Wayne Ellington is drawing strong interest from the Det Pistons. Have we really been reduced to that? I think it's great that he shoots almost 40% from 3 pt range and is a phenomenal FT shooter but this is not good. It looks as though we are keeping Stuck and if KCP plays the rest of summer league the way he played yesterday, then I expect Stuck to start.
Joe, I believe but you're making it difficult.

This is very possible - Joe could see Stuckey as our backup PG
Knight / Stuckey / Siva
KCP / Ellington / English
Smith / Singler / Middleton
Monroe / Mitchell / Jerebko / CV
Drummond / ??? / Kravtsov

I don't mind the add but Joe D think Joe should add a back-up C over a back-up SG right now.

Agreed. Worst-case scenario is we run a 3-guard rotation at G with Knight/Stuckey and KCP/Stuckey with Siva and English as emergency-depth guys.
But Mitchell/Kravtsov are currently our primary backups at PF/C. That won't do it for an entire season.

We need someone who can shoot...this is a good thing. And I'm not sure how this ties into keeping Stuckey?

Ellington is a solid 3rd guard but nothing special. I still think Stuckey gets traded though, I think he's being shopped

Not bad. Probably cheaper than Neal or morrow and provides us with what we need.

as a back-up, he is ok. he can hit 3's and play some defense.

I like Ellington. He's not going to be a starter, but he's young and he can shoot. He should also be a cheap signing too.
Not sure how stuckey came into the equation, but as the roster stands right now, Stuckey is the closest thing to a real PG we have outside of Siva.

Guys who can play off the bench and play with high efficiency in limited or sporadic minutes are very valuable players for any team.

I still don't understand why Delfino wasn't signed, unless there's some bad blood from our first go-round with him that I don't know about.
Ellingtons probably the best of whats left.

I'd be perfectly fine with Ellington. He would replace English, who I don't think we'll bring back.
Really starting to feel (for better or worse) that we're going to sign Bynum and Ellington, cut English, and barring a Stuckey trade (which I hope and pray for), move forward.

I think English is gone unless he goes the dleague route. I don't see joe d signing a vet scrub for our 15th roster spot.
