BK 32/ Stuck 8/ Bynum 8
Stuckey 20/ KCP18/ Singler 10
Smith 20/Datome 15/Middleton 8/ Singler5 438-3514
Monroe12/Smith 18/ CV 10
Drummond 25/Monroe 23
That's a 10 man rotation, if there is a trade, I think things look very different, as it stands now I think Mitchel gets some garbage minutes and sees a little bit of time in the D-league. If there is a trade I see it freeing up minutes for Mitchel, I definitely see him as a part of our future and a big role player. I could see Singler/Middleton/KCP/Datome minutes all verying depending on matchups.
Starters: BK7/Stuckey/Smith/Monroe/Drummond (The more I look at this, the more I hope we trade Stuckey, I'm a big fan of the guy, but not seeing the fit. But until then.)
I could see the rotation looking like this: CV is the first big off the bench, coming in for Drummond and moving Monroe over to center, KCP comes in for Stuckey. BK7/KCP/Smith/CV/Monroe
Drummond and Datome come in for Smith and CV. BK7/KCP/Datome/ Monroe/Drummond
Smith comes in for Monroe. Singler for KCP. BK7/Singler/Datome/Smith/Drummond
Middleton comes in for Datome. Monroe comes in for Drummond. Bynum for BK7. Bynum/Singler/Middleton/Smith/Monroe.
Something to that effect, I really don't like that last lineup, but I'm thinking there will be a trade or two to clarify the wing situation. I wish like heck I could get Mitchell in there, but as long as CV is on the team, I see him getting more minutes than Mitchell while the latter develops.

I dont think Drumond is going to get 30mins. His conditioning is still not there. I wont be shocked if hes playing 30mpg in April but its going to start around 25mpg and increase as the yr goes on and most likely avg about 28mpg.

I really think that Dre, Monroe, Knight and Smith need to be on the court for at least 24 min a game.
Edit: on the court together for 24min

I think English gets cut soon enough so
Drummond 28, Monroe 20
Monroe 14, Smith 18, CV 16
Smith 16, Singler 16, Datome 16
K.C.P 26, Middleton 12, Stuckey 10
Knight 30, Stuckey 18
10-man rotation wth Bynum and Jerebko on the active roster...
Mitchell and Siva dominate the D League with Slava... or maybe Slava just gets transported around in a big glass box "in case of emergency" style

I think Dre is going to play less than we think this year. I have even considered that he might not start at the beginning of the year when I read an article that mentioned he's still only 19 years old (will turn 20yo next month). He's still a really young guy, and you got to watch his minutes because I think too many minutes on a young big is asking for injury trouble. You have to treat young bigs like young pitchers, and increase their workload incrementally. He played 60 games and averaged 20mpg - I think you bump that up to 25mpg max this season, especially as he'd be hopefully playing the full 82 games.
That means 23 minutes a game at center for other players, and you're not going to give that to Kratvsov. So it's obviously going to Moose this season, meaning Monroe will play more minutes at center than PF. Which trickle down effect means Josh Smith will play more minutes at PF in all likelihood.
Which brings me to the point that to make all this easier to manage - Drummond comes off the bench to start the season. Monroe starts at center, Smith at PF.
Knight 30|Stuckey 10|Bynum 8
Caldwell-Pope 28|Stuckey 20
Singler 20|Smith 15|Datome/Middleton/13
Smith 23|Monroe 13|Villanueva/Jerebko 12
Monroe 23|Drummond 25

I can see that 1st timeout with us down 8pts and Stuckey,Singer get subed for Pope and Drummond and Cheeks calls for the half court trap and we all have a 04 deja vu experiece.

Knight (32)/ Bynum (16)
Batome(8) / Stuckey (24) / KCP (16)
Smith(12) / Batome (16)/ Singler (20)
Monroe (16) / Smith (26) / CV (6)
Drummond (28)/Monroe (20)
With this starting line-up, you have Smith guard the best wing, and Batome the other.
First change you have Drummond and Batome come to the bench, and slide Monroe, Smith and Batome to 5, 4 and 4. Stuckey comes in at SG to help knight with some of the ball handling duties.
The only minutes Smith plays the 3 is the start of the game and the start of the 4th. The rest of the time the three big men are sharing the 96 mins needed for the front court.
