Joe needs to clear the way, not only how to keep Siva here (vs. overseas or NBDL), but he seems legit enough to be our 3rd PG. Dewd just looks poised, under control, and legit IMO.
I think if Joe loses him, he's going to regret it.

Easy fix = Khris Middleton next to go he does not fit the team anymore.

Absolutely not. If you're going to just drop someone, one who's on a guaranteed contract at that, drop Singler. Singler is older than Middleton and doesn't really offer anything Middleton doesn't.

than trade either Kris or singler for a pick

These are two guys who can and should be rotation players in this league. I wouldn't give up either unless it's for a #1 pick in the future or a good young player.
The Pistons have two "needs" that I'm not sure are needs. More depth at SG, possibly a swing guard, and a big backup C.

so we are trading 2 players that have proven to be rotation guys and steals in the 2nd round for a pg that has played decently in a summer league vs scrubs......????

I don't think anyone was suggesting giving them up for less than a first round pick. I wouldn't give up either unless it was for a 1st rounder. That said, I don't think we need any more depth, at least not at the wings, a backup C would be fine. We have a full roster, and lots of players can play several positions.
Players that can play each wing position:
PG: Knight/Bynum/Billups/Stuckey
SG: Billups/KCP/Stuckey/Knight/Singler/MIddleton
SF: Smith/Gigi/MIddleton/Singler/Jerebko
We don't need depth, we just need upgrades. We shouldn't be acquiring any other players unless they're clearly better than the guys we have now.

I like Siva, but he needs to work on his shot more, he would benefit going to europe for one or two years, until Chauncey retires, he can have his spot then.

Siva I think could get a spot on another team fairly easily. I'm not sure why he'd go to Europe for 2 years waiting for a spot with us when he could get a spot on an NBA team now.

Siva shouldn't go to Europe. Going there seems to ruin more careers than help. He has better chance for success learning under Billups and Cheeks here for the next 2 years. Making a roster spot is simple, just dump Slava. He's beyond bad. At worst Siva can be a solid situational on-ball defender off the bench next year. That alone is more than Slava will ever contribute.

We aren't gonna dump Slava, our only backup center for a fourth string PG.

It's the summer league dudes. His play has earned him a camp invite and nothing more.
Singler and Middleton are better players.

This.
And if we were going to move someone, it should be Jerebko. He's as expendable as they come now that Smith is here, and Tony Mitchell has shown the hustle (if not the skill) to justify a rookie contract.

Siva could be a valuable disruptor, someone who can throw an opposing point guard--and team--off of its rhythm. I always wished that the Pistons had acquired Eric Snow for the same role back in the day. Siva would also make practices intense, potentially. Brandon Knight going against Bynum and Billups is probably not the challenge Knight needs in practice. Going against Siva would potentially help Knight develop his ball handling to another level. I'm all for keeping Siva on the roster somehow. I would definitely like to see him in some NBA games before deciding to get rid of him.

I like what Siva can bring to a team. I hope he sticks here.

It's the summer league. Man I love that argument. Let's completely ignore the fact the he makes Drummond better bc it's summer league guys.
It's seems that everyone likes to say the same thing over and over. Since Austin daye dominated summer league and sucked during the season we should all discredit and player who plays well, bc you know, it's summer league.
Let's just say that Kcp, mitchell, Drummond and siva won't play well in the league bc they played well in summer league and that mcw and Burke will be much better in the nba bc they played bad in the summer league
That seems to be everyone's reasoning on why siva isn't really good, after all, bc it's summer league.

Slava is useless. There are Centers in the d-league that could provide more than him. Besides Monroe is going to take all the backup Center minutes, and even CV, Mitchell, or Jerebko would be better options after Moose if necessary, before resorting to Slava. If we have to rely on him for any minutes next year, we don't have a chance anyways. Much wiser to keep a promising young PG than a 26 yr old Center who has no room to grow and might be worse than Darko, as is.

You base your opinion on three games of non-organized, glorified pick-up basketball. I'll take his four years at Louisville and the fact he was drafted 56th overall.
They rest of your attempt at an argument is a silly straw man set-up.

The praise being heaped on Siva is kind of lost on me. He's an undersized PG who can't shoot -- not even FT's. So even if he gets into the lane and is fouled, you'll be holding your breath every time he steps to the line. He's scrappy on D, pretty smart with the ball and a decent distributor, but I don't think anyone will be kicking themselves down the road if he's the one who winds up walking.
Explain to me how he offers anything that our current crop of guards doesn't?
