Trade Idea w/Lakers

Lakers need a sf

PF Jordan Hill
SG Jodie Meeks

for

SF/PF Jonas Jerebko
SF Kyle Singler

--------------------------------------------------

I think this might work for both teams. Pistons get a guy that can play backup minutes at PF or C (Hill), and a shooter to bring off the bench (Meeks) while the Lakers get two guys capable of playing minutes at the 3 with Jerebko also able to play at PF.

Nash / Farmar / Blake
Kobe / Young
Singler / Jerebko
Gasol / Jerebko / Kelly
Kaman / Sacre

We become:
Knight / Billups / Bynum / (Siva)
KCP / Meeks / Stuckey
Smith / Middleton / Datome
Monroe / Smith / Mitchell / CV
Drummond / Monroe / Hill / Kravtsov

Overseas - Siva
End of season expirings - Stuckey, CV, Hill, Meeks

jordan hill is actually a fairly good player.. i love how you try and spice up our guys as capable rotation player... if they were, why wouldnt we play them? singler is ok, jerebkos become fairly useless, and they dont have anywhere near the value of hill and meeks.

i think hill has value, but it seemed Meeks didn't get the minutes i thought he would, so he maybe available for a SF. Lakers also just signed Wesley johnson, so I guess that could also be a good sign that Meeks might be on the move.

Would Meeks for jonas work??

If the Lakers offered then the Pistons should definitely accept. But I don't think the Lakers would be interested in this trade, even though both players the Pistons would send fit D'Antoni's style.

Also, Singler was the worst starting SF in the NBA last year. Dead last in WS/48 and PER. Nick Young would definitely start over him (w/ Kobe moving to SF).

That's a decent idea for both teams. I'm not sure Lakers would want to take on Jonas 4.5 million salary next season tho, that'd be raw cap space for them and they can do a lot better than Jerebko.
