He'll get more than Tyreke Evans did so I expect something near that for sure.

some team will probably throw him his max which is probably around 14 mil per, but there is a chance he ends up looking like hot garbage next year in our lineup. he has enough trouble finishing as is at times, it could get fugly this year with him trying to finish in a stacked lane. hopefully his future payday motivated him enough to bring a decent mid-range J to the table this year and he's able to be more decisive when he has the ball.

It depends on how he plays this season. Right now I would offer him around 12mil.

If Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Melo all stay put then there will be teams with tons of money and not many options... Guys like Wall, Cousins, Monroe, and Paul George would all get MAX offers from someone with capspace.

I don't think anyone thought Iggy or Smith were max players...

The biggest numbers I heard thrown around for them was about $60 million over 4 years which is much less than the max for a 7+ year NBA player.

Wouldn't surprise me if we sign him to a slightly below max deal... But I do think as long as he puts up at least 17 and 9 next year the absolute bottom for him is probably $14 mil per year.

More than he deserves, mainly because Dumars is a doofus.

Right now he's worth about 12 mil per imo. I don't think he will be worth the max either by next year, but this is restricted free agency and I can easily see a team offering him a lot.

I can see Portland trying to offsheet him because the last two offseasons they've tried to get big men that way. Falk got Hibbert the max, he'll get Monroe the max.

A 5 year $70 million deal ($14 mil per) would make it the largest deal ever signed by a Pistons player.

I think he'll end up being traded - he's a center and somebody will look to max him out and pay him as a starting center.

So he'll get max money, but it won't be from us.

Al Jefferson could have gotten the max off his rookie contract but decided against it since he hadn't "earned" it yet (he still got 13 million per year). Jefferson is probably Monroe's closest match, and with teams being more willing to give out max deals to pretty much any quality big man (Lopez, Hibbert), it's reasonable to assume Monroe will get the max. The reason Josh Smith isn't getting max money is that he isn't 6'11.

If we have to pay him anything more than 10-12 a yr then we better trade him. Huge fan of his but not at that price
