Bucks fan here. Not trolling, I come in peace. Just had a few questions for Pistons fans who have watched Knight extensively his 1st 2 seasons. What exactly are the Bucks getting with him? Does he actually have the potential to turn the corner with a good developmental coach in Larry Drew mentoring him? Are his PG skills limited enough to classify him as more of a combo guard than point? What's he do best/worst/good/bad? It wasn't very long ago I was jealous of Pistons fans when Knight fell on your laps on draft night. Wondering if he's still that player with big enough potential to turn into a difference maker/game changer?
Thanks for the time. Any insight would be awesome.
Ps. Good luck with Jennings. I've been fed up with him for 2 1/2 years now. Probably will have a better attitude now in Detroit with a more substantial contract but he's a total knucklehead. His presence became a total roller coaster ride in MKE. He handled himself like a child pouting to the media and what not far too often. If he can mature significantly than he's a good player but the hype is just that, hype. He'll never be the player he so desperately insists he is and that's what is stunting his growth IMO. I value Knight and Jennings about the same in regards to talent and potential. Thought it was a good swap and a good fresh start for both players. Good luck this year. Fortunately for me, I'm looking at last place in the central and a hopefully high lotto pick in a stacked class, while your looking at Miami, Chicago, Indiana in the 1st round. If the Bucks stink like I hope, I wouldn't mind at all seeing Detroit as a cinderella team. Big fans of Monroe, Drummond, Smith and KCP.

In short, I think he does have the ability to be very good. A bucks fan actually made a similar thread and there is some insightful stuff in the thread.

Re: Brandon Knight?
I think Knight will have a huge year this season. Once he gets a better understanding of P'n'R, he'll be able to flourish. give him a year and he'll most likely be better than Jennings.
He doesn't see the floor as well as Jennings, but he's a much better defender and shooter. He's a willing passer and a hard working guy. Knight has better size too.

Re: Brandon Knight?
He's actually not a better shooter than Jennings. He can finish better at the rim (at least with his off hand), but he can't shoot better than Jennings from either mid-range or 3pt range.
