Early West Coast trip..yikes.

Eyeing that Nov 24th Brooklyn game as one I'll consider attending.

Closing out the season in OKC. Could be an interesting game, either because we're playoffs bound or because our wild experiment failed miserably.

Tough based on matchups, but 4 of first 5 at home is huge difference from last year's horrible opening schedule, starting 5 of 6 on the road. Some great matchups though. Jennings vs Wall game 1. Then battle of the beasts vs Memphis next game, and then the sequel vs Indiana game 4. Our frontcourt will be put to the test right away. I love it though. Its going to be fun to watch. With Sheed, Chauncey, and Smith showing the guys how to win those grind out games, I have confidence we can beat those teams now. We should have an advantage against OKC now too with Cheeks knowing their entire playbook and tendencies, and Smith being able to guard Durant.

Sounds like another tough start. I'm working under the assumption that the team was going to struggle out of the gate anyways. considering they're going right up against good playoff teams, it might get ugly.

I may try and catch that Nov 1 game in Memphis. Not sure, Memphis' ticket prices sky rocketed last year, I can't imagine a WCF appearance made it any better.

@ Mem - L
vs Bos - W
vs Ind - L
vs OKC - L
@ Por - W
@ GSW - L
@ Sac - W
@ LAL - W
vs NYK - L
@ Atl - L
vs Atl - W
@ BKN - L
vs Mil - W
vs Chi - L
vs LAL - W
.500. It's not the worst thing ever. I could live with that

I'm looking forward to that Lakers game. Our front line will absolutely overrun Gasol and that flimsy excuse of a front court.

I would take engelbert's 8-8 start in a heartbeat. Our team is so new, there's bound to be some dysfunction early on.

Absolutely. This much roster turnover, especially at vital positions, and a new coaching staff. There's going to be struggles, especially early on.

No love for detroit on national TV again. Only 2(!!) games on ESPN, none on either TNT or ABC. Those two games are both on the road, against Sacremento and Orlando. :|
Looks like casual fans are still not going to know our team exists until the playoffs. I was expecting atleast 7 or 8, and maybe a game or two against a team a little better than SAC or ORL.. how do they even get national games.

Oh god I was waiting for this. Our start is going to be a trainwreck with this schedule. I don't care if we have a bunch of home games to start with.

vs Was - W
@ Mem - L
vs Bos - W
vs Ind - L
vs OKC - L
@ Por - L
@ GSW - L
@ Sac - W
@ LAL - L
vs NYK - L
@ Atl - L
vs Atl - L
@ BKN - L
vs Mil - W
vs Chi - L
vs LAL - L

4-12 BUT, ALOT of those games will be really, really close. After that, I expect the team to really start to come together. 6-17 after 20 games. Take the rest of the season to make it back to .500 then dip a little below being out of gas.

Based on that schedule, I predict between 36-42 wins. I'm going with 39. Our early hole, combined with basically a whole new team is going to be tough to overcome this season.

What the hell, zeeb? You're our JR Smith, our irrational confidence guy. If our IC guy has no IC, WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!?!?!?!?

Hey now, I really love this team as it stands right now. Its a Detroit style team thru and thru. Chippy players, something to prove, bashed by other fans, e.t.c.

I WANT to say 50 wins. I WANT to say 12-4. Even my irrational love for the Pistons is screaming;

"GO FULL HOMER" "THEY WILL CRUSH THIER ENEMIES AND HEAR THE LAMENTATION OF THE WOMEN"

But I digress. They are YOUNG. They are STUPID. They are NEW.

39 WINS.

(homer 51 wins)

Beat the Nets and the Lakers. My two least favourite teams in each conference.

I would be too satisfied if that happened.

Everyone should expect a rough start. We've got a new coach with a new system and (most likely) 3 new starters who have questionable chemistry on paper. It's going to take a while for these guys to mesh if they ever do. Are Smith and Jennings going to come and still be idiot low percentage chuckers? Is KCP NBA ready? Has Monroe improved his jumper? If Stuckey is the starting SG how do we survive with 3 morons at the 1, 2, 3 who can't shoot but think they can? Has Dre's conditioning improved at all? Will the NBA allow Chauncey to use his rascal on the court? Too many question marks for there to be a solid start. Hope I'm wrong. While we certainly have more talent than last season I don't think it's going to work right off the bat.
