He didn't play much for us, but he seemed like a good teammate. I know he talked before about his career after his playing days, and this article profiling him on ESPN was pretty interesting.

Talks about him shadowing our assistant GM George David at the annual adidas Eurocamp, as well as building relationships with various GMs and team presidents around the league.

Maggette has been a great team guy since he got traded here. He lost his minutes to young guys but always stayed professional and said the right things. He had a great relationship wiht Drummond and helped him through his rookie year. If we needed wing depth, i would be happy to sign him, but given the roster situation now, he doesn't fill a role. I hope he gets a spot somewhere because he seems like a genuine dude with a bit left in the tank.

Before he came here I thought this was a guy who would have too big of an ego to go through what he did here last season. He proved me wrong. Wouldn't mind to sign him if we end up pulling of a trade this season.

Our roster is already filled and he would most likely not get minutes with Datome and Singler at the 3 and wouldn't want to hinder KCP's growth if he played the 2. If we didn't have either one of those guys, I would've definitely tried for him to get the vet min or something. He seems to be a good guy for our young guns.

Besides Maggette seemed to be a declining player with a great ability to draw fouls I did not know much about Maggette, however with the constant trashing of him on RealGM I had the impression it wouldn't be surprising if he was stupid, immature, and a problem. In a rare happening RealGM was 100% wrong. Maggette has been thoughtful and supportive since he came and even after leaving.

Maggette's game was based on his ability to get to the basket and out physical other players on the glass. He was undersized but he played (succeeded) in small ball. He has lost speed and isn't the same player as once before. He never was a jump shooter but more of a post player. He just doesn't have it anymore which happens with age and injuries. I wish him luck.

I saw the Pistons practice before the season last year at Oakland University and Maggette looked great. He looked strong and quick and attacked the basket and i was surprised when he got little/no playing last season. He definitely looks like he's got some gas left in him
