Off-Topic: Official Music Youtube Thread

Post#1 » by Han Solo » Mon Sep 2, 2013 5:20 pm

While it's slow in here and we're patiently waiting for the season, I thought it would be cool to see what fellow Pistons fans are listening too.

I've seen other team's forums do this and it usually is pretty active.

No judgment here, just post what you like. I listen to EVERYTHING. I'm also a guitar player and singer.

I'll start -

Frightened Rabbit - old old fashion. (scottish band)

I like most styles of music, but since I'll be heading down to Auburn hills to see them at the laneway festival in a couple of weeks so there you go.

He's pretty big out here, gives lots of love to the area, and even had a parade here for a music video.

When he first blew up you couldn't escape him, his songs were everywhere, "my last" and "marvin gaye and chardonnay" expecially

Best Black Keys song in the world and I bet most have never heard it. It's old, and it's a cover of this. -

I like the fact that he reps Detroit all the time, but i was wondering if people viewed it as corny.
Up here in Toronto, all the tweens love Drake, but most people I know think he's just corny. But i'd think most people are over drake at this point.
I don't mind big sean. He's got some solid music out and of course "control" was insane even if it was just because of kendrick.

I listen to mostly 60's-80s r&b, classic rock, pop nowadays, with some 90s-early 00s rap mixed in occasionally as well as some 50s doowop. So many artists to list them all, but I find I go to the EWF, Parliament, Michael McDonald, and Brothers Johnson stations the most lately on Pandora, which is a saving grace for those who don't like todays music and no longer have their old cd's anymore :) Another cool thread topic would be what stations people are listening to on Pandora.
