Cant wait to see singler or billups get destroyed by joe johnson. Pope would obviously be the ideal matchup for him, but it wont happen.
Really hope jennings and billups play in this game. dont want another 48 minute will bynum game at all.
Deron williams wont play, and if its like their first game, the rest of the starters wont play more than two 6minute stretches. So basically we will just be watching our guys vs scrubs for 36 out of 48 minutes. Still will be hoping for those minutes they do have their guys out there, dre plays tough against lopez, and we handle their wings well. This team does not project to be good defensively, so hopefully we look good on that end.
Would like to see pope find some rhythm at some point in this game, has been all over the place offensively so far. It was his third summer league that he had a nice run to get things going, hopefully its the same in preseason.

I'd imagine the Nets starters will play a little more in this game than they did in their previous contest since it's their first game at home. Or maybe that's wishful thinking since I'll be at the game... But either way, no matter the competition, the more time the core of this team spends together on the court the better.

I've been looking forward to this game. This should be a great frontcourt matchup and my first chance to see the new look Nets.

Dre v Lopez
Moose v KG
Smith v Pierce

It would be nice to see KCP get the start tonight too and see how he tests against JJ.

I want to see KCP stop jacking out of rhythm and playing within the flow of the offense this game. And he needs to drive more. He was doing a wonderful job of both late in the SL.

I fully expect Dre to give Lopez a handful...who is just far too slow and unathletic to do much against him. Lopez will likely be a handful for Dre too. He's pretty skilled.

Jennings not playing again, but Siva is and Datome participated in shoot around and sounds like he might play. Chauncey still unknown.

if it was an abcess I might give him the benefit of the doubt, but its his wisdom teeth. he needs to just man up and have them yanked, it shouldn't even be an issue.

I find it weird that after a huge offseason we're forced to watch these games off palace vision. It seems like a lot of other teams are televised locally or on NBATV.

Guys, it's the preseason... if it's bothering him it doesn't matter if he misses a game, aren't playing for anything right now. If he's missing games during the regular season for reasons like this I'll be upset, but these games don't matter right now. Billups didn't play last game and probably won't play tonight for age or something like that, so why does it matter? If you're upset that Jennings isn't playing then you should also be upset that Billups isn't playing.

yeah, but it would be nice if our new guys could get as much work in together as possible before the regular season starts.

I agree that they need to get him back by next game. Technically they have yet to play a game together against a real nba team yet. It would be good to get at least 4-5 games together before opening night, and seeing how they usually sit guys in the last game, it would be good to get him back for the Bulls game. Especially so we get glimpse of how he matches up with Rose. That game isn't until wednesday though, so good chance his problem will be better by then.

Jennings is S-A-W-F-T #sawft

Brandon Knight wouldn't miss a game due to a toothache. And I'd much rather have Middleton backing up Smith than the poo poo platter we offer up there now.

Its in brooklyn. Their guys will properly televise it. Have read that the last 2 games will be televised by detroit too.

lol I remember I got a dry socket too from smoking weed. I was right at the end of recovery too and took a chance. Very big mistake as you know lol
