Game is properly televised in detroit. Also on NBA TV.
Expect the lineups to begin to shape up towards what we can expect in the regular season, with some guys not playing at all, and starters to probably play through the 4th quarter unless its a blowout.
Interesting to see what the backcourt rotation will be and if bynum/billups will play, and if they do, do they start? or has pope done enough to start alongside billups, or maybe its singler starting at SG again.

Who do we think/want to get the minutes at PF? Jerebko or Villanueva. My vote is for Charlie, but i dont like either of them. Jonas has been shooting the ball a lot, with little success, and both their defense really is equally as bad.

It should absolutely be Pope starting by the start of the season. He has shown everything that a SG for this team, needed to show.

There is a zero option thing for Cheeks here in my mind. If anyone but Pope starts, Cheeks takes a huge hit in my book.

Unless of course there is another excellent defensive SG, who can hit the three on the team I forgot about?

Any word yet, Will Datome play before the regular season? What is his injury and how severe is it? We could really use another F that can shoot. We need the additional floor spacing. Any chance we see him tonight?

Nothing I read explained the severity of his injury.

I would love to see Datome play over CV or Jonas.

overreacted a little. i guess it makes sense.
with all the guys out, this is our full rotation

siva/bynum
billups/pope
singler/jerebko/mitchell
monroe/cv
drummond

unless i am forgetting someone?
so keeping billups at 2 keeps it balanced, assuming bynum is playing, which maybe he isnt because hed be starting ahead of siva if he was.. i dunno.

wall and beal gonna drop 60 together against siva and billups. not the best defense there. i mean, siva has been decent, but wall is just bigger, quicker, better and i dont see siva giving him too much resistance. beal has been on fire the last few games. 29, 21, 30 in the last 3 games. lets not forget how bad singler is defensively and ariza might just be able to drop 20 on him aswell.

point i'm trying ot make is if we get blown out by 60 in the preseason, does it really matter? when the regular season starts, this isn't going to be the lineup, we'll have 0 loses, and Wizards aren't going to be familiar with the rotations and lineups because there going to be so different not to mention the play calling

Siva is a very good defender, don't underestimate his defense. Also, while Beal is a nice young guard, I wouldn't go that far as to say he's going to own Chauncey Billups. I think that's kind of disrespectful to mr big shot. Just because Chauncey is older doesn't mean he's garbage. I don't hear people saying guys like Duncan, Pierce, KG etc are going to get owned just because they are older. If anything, my guess is Chauncey might teach him a few things. :wink:

Off topic, but Fab Melo got waived by Dallas. If I were Joe I'd waive Jerebko and pick up Melo to replace him.

Fab melo i believe is on his 3rd team? I understand JJ is poop, but a bust in Boston and Dallas is still a bust in Detroit. at the very least we could convince a team to take a chance on JJ, don't think we'll find the same interest in melo

Off topic, but Fab Melo got waived by Dallas. If I were Joe I'd waive Jerebko and pick up Melo to replace him.

Melo is the definition of a bum doe.
