OT: parking near ford field

Post#1 » by s e n s i » Thu Oct 24, 2013 2:34 am

heading down to detroit this sunday for the cowboys/lions game, just looking for suggestions on where the best place to park is within walking distance to the stadium. i've read that parking at the greektown casino is an solid option, can someone confirm this? don't mind paying for parking and would prefer it to be not too congested, as it was a nightmare finding parking and leaving in the area around lincoln financial field in philly last weekend, i just don't wanna have to go through that nightmare again. also would welcome recommendations for local bars/must-try restaurants around the downtown area for before and after the game. any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

If you insist on parking near Ford field, you are just asking to get carjacked or robbed. You should take a taxi!

Just joking. I would scout bars that have shuttles because then you don't have to deal with the crows in the parking lots and get some cheap beer and wings before the game.

I always park at the Millender center. It's a little bit of a walk but it is only $10 and it is very safe.

Whenever I go down, I tend to park at one of the larger lots on Woodward. I think it's about $20 and not too bad of a walk.

Its bad luck to leave your car any place named Millen when going to a Lions game.
