How does everyone see or want it to shake out?
this is how id do it, assuming everyones healthy and Datome can be effective.
Jennings (32)/Billups (16)
KCP (24)/Stuckey (16)/Singler(8)
Smith (12)/Datome(24)/Singler (12)
Moose (16)/Smith(22)/CV* (10)
Dre (30)/Moose (18)
*(the more minutes Billups/KCP/Datome are able to play, the less time CV would see)
Bench- Bynum/Mitchell
Suits- Siva/Harrelson/JJ
Basic Rotations
Jennings/KCP/Smith/Moose/Dre
Jennings/KCP or Singler/Datome/Smith/Monroe
Billups/Stuckey/Datome or Singler/CV/Dre

The front court rotation is pretty obvious to start the season. No way it isn't Dre/Monroe/Smith/Singler and JJ.
The backcourt rotation is totally unknown. Until Jennings and Stuckey gets back , I assume we've got Chauncey and KCP, or maybe Bynum and Chauncey - with KCP off the bench. I think the Pistons like what KCP brings them even if his shot isn't falling. Because KCP has been coming on and has improved a lot over the last couple games, I can see Cheeks wanting to play him and not try using Singler there instead of at SF - since that would smuck up our forward rotation as well.
After the injured guards return, the key question is whether KCP has shown enough to stay in the regular rotation early in the season. If he has - then KCP could get a lot of rotation time behind Stuckey at SG - freeing up Billups to play fewer minutes and to take games off to keep him fresh all season. Billups has mad potential as a fifth guard who plays in key moments of games where our other guards are struggling to keep the offense running smoothly. Chauncey seems to be the kind of player who can be inserted cold into a game, play relatively infrequently, and still be very efficient. The guard play on this team is very hard to figure out or predict, but the talent level and potential is there for this to come together nicely this season. If that happens, look out, we'll be quite dangerous.
Mitchell and Datome are guys to look for later in the season, especially Gigi. If they come on, we could be an extremely deep team, making PT decisions rough ones for Cheeks. Gigi's shooting ability is exactly what our team needs on paper.

With Stuckey/Jennings at full health:
Jennings(36)/Bynum/(12)
Billups(26)/Stuckey(22)
Smith(38)/Singler(12)
Monroe(36)/Jerebko(16)
Drummond(34)/Harrelson(10)

Dre (32)/Moose (16)

Jennings 30 / Billups 18
KCP 20 / Stuckey & *Bynum 28
Smith 12 / Singler 18 / Datome 18
Monroe 30 / Smith 18
Drummond 30 / Harrelson & Mitchell* 18
* = when needed
I would only play Bynum when needed, they are the same playing style. Bynum to spark & blow up a quarter. Stuckey when you need better d.
I would play Mitchell only when needed this year. He's a future star though.
I actually like Harrelson and if you are playing all those paint attackers they will need him to space the floor 15 min a night.
I think it's important to have at least 2 three point threats on the floor at all times.
Jennings
Billups
Singler
Datome
Harrelson

You're crazy if you think Jennings, Smith, Monroe, and Drummond are only getting 30mpg.
Jennings (34)/Billups (14)
KCP (20)/Stuckey (28)
Smith (20)/ KCP (14)/ Singler (14)
Monroe (20)/ Smith (14)/ Jerebko (14)
Drummond (34)/Monroe (14)
I think this is currently our best rotation. It would be nice to bring in some better role players other than Singler and JJ though. My hope is that Mitchell can take JJ's backup PF minutes but I don't see that happening this year unfortunately.

To start the season, I bet Cheeks will play:
Billups / Bynum
Singler / KCP / Billups
Smith / Singler / Jerebko
Monroe / Smith / Jerebko
Drummond / Monroe
..and we will all be upset.
Assuming KCP doesn't really impress during his opportunity to play, when Jennings/Stuckey are back, I expect:
Jennings / Bynum
Billups / Stuckey
Smith / Singler
Monroe / Smith / Jerebko
Drummond / Monroe
...and we will all be upset.
What I think we should play (at full health):
Jennings / Billups / Bynum (deserves spot minutes/situational PT)
KCP / Stuckey (only with two shooters on the floor - i.e., Billups, Datome)
Smith / Singler / Datome
Monroe / Smith / Jerebko-Mitchell (spot minutes)
Drummond / Monroe

Jennings (34)/ Billups (14)
KCP (22)/ Stuckey (22)/ Billups (4)
Smith (20)/ KCP (8)/ Singler (18)
Monroe (18)/ Smith (16)/ Mitchell (14)
Drummond (30)/ Monroe (18)
id rather keep drummond at 30 for now, keeping him going long term is more important than throwing him too many minutes trying to win too much.
I find it very unlikely pope gets 30 minutes but id definitely prefer he did, its more likely that billups starts and he gets about 14 mins behind him and stuckey, but oh well.
I have mitchell in there as the backup PF, which is obviously more likely to go to jonas or CV, which i dont think is that much of a difference, but id rather see mitchell get a chance to progress, mainly because of that reason - hes not a big downgrade.. hes younger and has more upside.. see if he can be something. The bench should have enough shooting with singler and billups that hopefully jerebko or cv arent too important.

The frontcourt I think is set. The guards are going to be the ones where we're going to be upset a lot of times.
Anything less than KCP starting will frustrate me. The guy deserves to start, period.

No I'm not crazy, they aren't meant to be exact numbers, just showing 30+ ie the majority

wouldn't be surprised to see Jennings start out with more limited minutes to start the season because he still needs to get familiar with the team. I could see him starting out at 20-24 MPG and working his way up.
Big thing is for me... what does our rotation look like on Wed night... I really wonder how the minutes will be divided when it counts.

Any rotation that doesn't have Pope at the SG spot, is a big problem. It really isn't even a competition anymore for the spot.
Stuckeys injured, and Billups is 37, and a PG.
If Singler starts i'll vomit.

KCP has played like garbage, he hasnt earned the starting SG spot at all (32 FG% / 25 3PT%)
id say start billups and bring KCP of the bench till he shows some consistency

also this will never happen. jennings will play 36 minutes right from the start, and he should

^^yeah, I think KCPs shown enough to get the job, considering the alternatives. I think he'll be alright, hes not going to be asked to do much in the starting lineup, just play D and keep defenses honest. we know he can play D and his shooting started to come around, I think teams will have to respect his shot most nights.

Oh boy you haven't been watching have you...numbers aren't everything. His shooting is now coming around and the rest has been there all preseason..Way off base here.

Singler get **** on a bunch here but I thought he played very well in pre season. I'd like to see him play mostly as the back up 3, but with some minutes at SG especially if he can post up.
Overall though I hope Pope gets the starting nod early in the season at the 2 spot.

No way he is going to start. He is behind Jennings, Billups, Bynum, & Stuckey. He is the 5th guard.
