Predict The Record

Post#1 » by mercury » Tue Oct 29, 2013 3:37 am

It's that time again...
Gonna have to be a little pessimistic due to the new pieces
Also concerned about shot selection and what will happen to Jennings on defense in the east.
36-46

i'm going with 38 - 44.
Hopefully that will sneak us into the playoffs and by that time the chemistry will be set. I'm predicting a rough start because of the new coach and players, but as the season goes on they figure it out.

12-18 first 30 games.

26-26 rest of the way.

39 wins, and a start so rough, minds will crack, heads will explode, and then by the end of the season, we are talking "How good can this team be?" and sugar plums dancing within each one of us. Taunting us with their sugary goodness.

I await that time.

42-40
Problem is the Pistons are one of the few teams trying to make the playoffs so they will benefit (or suffer) from beating alot of teams who aren't trying to win. Jennings is the wildcard. If he changes his game a bit and plays well, they could win 45-50 games.

39-43; likely good enough for the 7th or 8th seed in the east, and get an honorary baptism from Chicago or Miami in a 4-game sweep.

45-37

We will hit some rough patches early while we build chemistry but then we will hit our stride and people will talk about us being a "scary" first round matchup.

Without any significant trades happening, I'd project a 40-42 record. If we trade for a better SG, I'd say something like 45-37

Bucks in six.

Kidding. I see us getting 6th seed.

I've been all over the place on this, but my final prediction on record will be here. 41-41 after digging out of a ten games under hole, which will still be the 6th seed because there are five good teams and a bunch of meh in the East.

I feel like the range could be anywhere from 40- 46 if we're fairly healthy so I'll go right in the middle and prediect 43 wins... 43-39 isn't too bad a start with Andre Drummond continuing to improve into one of the best 2 or 3 centers in the NBA by years end.
