I didn't see the game, I don't have league pass. But, judging from the box score, Monroe was dominant.

I voted Moose, but you could argue for a few others.
billips settling the team in the fourth was huge and Smith had some nice plays on both ends of the court, I just think Moose had a more consistent game even with a few bad defensive possessions.

Definitely had to go with Monroe. He kept us in this game for sure.

I went with Billups. His real leadership will be key for us, and hopefully rub off on some of your young guys. I think in the past we had non-natural leaders either forced into the role or trying to take on the role prematurely. In a lot of ways, Billups is going to be a player coach for us - I think he'd make a great head coach in the future, but he has his eyes on a front office role.

Monroe led the way for us with that beast statline. If he can continue that with the talent around him, he's a lock for an all-star.

Moose would be the obvious choice, numbers-wise, but I went with Josh Smith. He created when we needed it (Bynum in, Chauncey out), hit a couple of big shots, played solid D after the first quarter. He got jobbed on a couple of clean blocks, too. It took him too long to take Ariza seriously, though.

He's a do-it-all type and played that way tonight.

Moose deserves it, too, and Chauncey was the 3rd really important part.

Well, as much as I'd love to go with a feel good vote like Billups, this one has to go to Monroe.

He just looked damn good today, grabbing rebounds and actually hitting his free throws.

Despite Billups' shooting night Smith is actually second in my mind. Very happy with how he looked in his first game as a Piston.

Hopefully we get enough wins to rack up some totals here for some of these guys.

I went with Billups. His leadership was palpable and he kept our heads above water, especially during that tough 4th quarter stretch, with his huge 3's and ability to execute the offense. I can't argue one bit with anyone who picked Monroe though. He was a beast today. This one should be split between those two.

Close between Monroe and Billups. Monroe's stat sheet looks great, he carried the team too and don't get me wrong I'm happy with his overall performance but I'm not really impressed with 6/15, being agressive and going to line made it up but, %40 is low for a big and he still couldn't hit mid range. Billups was a key factor when he returned in 4th, Wizards were getting close and Billup hitting threes gave the team a breath.

IMO, this goes to the unit of Drummond, Smith and Monroe. They dominated as a unit in the paint and on the boards. This is a three-headed monster that played great together last night. They're literally going to collectively beat the sh*t out of most every team they play. They'll force teams to get into the muck with them - opposing teams will have a choice of totally giving up the paint, or sending their guards deep into the paint to try to compete for rebounds. We're going to have a ton of wide-open 3 pt looks all season long.

I had to go Moose on this, although everyone played well enough to win. CB played his role and came through for the team, as did Smith. If the "Big Damn Hero" is the guy that contributed the most to the teams win, then it's Monroe. He played in his usual deliberate somewhat plodding manner, although some of those post moves were a thing of beauty. It's a very effective style play.

So far it looks like Moose is going to get the nod and rightfully so.

Hard to pick one after a balanced effort, but I voted for Moose.

I voted for Drummond, strictly because he was the most efficient of the big 3. Shot a better % than Smith or Moose, and grabbed the most rebounds while getting 4 stocks (steals+blocks)
