If Denver continues to struggle... Wilson Chandler??

Denver right now looks AWFUL. Dont you guys think that wilson chandler would be perfect for the backup SF minutes for when josh smith moves to PF? So if Denver continues to be bad, and be out of the playoff race, theres a good chance they want to tank, and might like some expiring contracts to start over.
What would you trade to get wilson chandler? I would be ok with giving up quite a bit, but my starting offer would be something like Stuckey and a second round pick, maybe even 2, and wouldnt be against going higher.
Also please dont say something like CV and jerebko or something... wilson chandler is a GOOD player, they arent going to give him up for just an expiring/or a couple of bench warmers, because they could just look at him as if he is one of the building blocks that they could get in the next year, to add to the rebuild, as he is still fairly young (26). If you dont want one of our players because he is 'junk' then why would they give up a good piece for them. Keep it realistic.

So, instead of one backup SF with a hamstring injury, we'd have two?
I'd like to see Gigi play.

It really depends on Denver's long term outlook. They're too good to tank this season, so I don't see them wanting to blow it up. But, who knows?
Chandler would at least garner a future 1st round pick, likely more. He's a very solid player, on a fantastic contract, and can guard the 2-4 spots.
If Denver was open to moving him, Stuckey and a future first rounder would be my bid. Considering Stuckey's been balling and he's an expiring, that could be enough. But, again, I doubt they have intentions upon moving him. They're likely looking to get better through trades, not worse.

We don't need a backup SF. What we need is a starting 2 guard. It makes no sense to give up expirings and picks without addressing that need.

If Chandler could effectively play the 2, then I would be all in. Imagine a huge lineup of players all defensive players 6'8" and over but Jennings. World Domination.

I would love to have Chandler on the Pistons. I don't know his contract situation, but if it's favorable, he's going to be expensive. Expirings and JJ and CV and WB aren't going to move the needle.
I wouldn't give up KCP for him, and I don't know what else we can offer. People mentioned a future 1st, but that scares me. Sure, if things go well, I have no problem parting with a pick in the 20's a couple of years down the road. Problem is, things don't always go as planned, and that's a big risk to be taking.
If they'd take Singler + expiring(s) + a 2nd (or Mitchell), sure. If that's not good enough or needs salary to match, I'd be willing to take a semi-bad contract as well as long as it doesn't run past Drummond's rookie deal (2.9 seasons left).

Chandler makes like $6.5 mil per for the next 2 years after this one. Very workable.

Stuckey, Singler, Bynum, Villanueva, Jerebko... Choose whoever you want who's not name Drummond, Monroe, Smith, Jennings, Caldwell-Pope or Billups.
With him, we'd be extremely tall!
Drummond/Monroe
Monroe/Smith/Mitchell
Smith/Chandler/Datome
Chandler/Caldwell-Pope
Jennings/Billups
That would be the great 9 players rotation Cheeks is looking for.

Yeah, and it also makes him very expensive to acquire. Does Denver have any bad contracts that they'd like to get out from under? Besides McGee, that is -- not touching that big idiot.
Singler + Stuckey + whatever (JJ, CV, WB) for Chandler + contract dump
I'd do that in a heartbeat. Problem is, Denver will want real value. They'd ask for KCP. I can't do that.

You're not getting Chandler for expiring deals and future picks, Monroe would probably have to be involved in a 3-way deal because they don't seem to have a spot for him. I might do a Monroe/Jerebko/Bynum or Singler for Chandler/Hickson deal.
Drummond/Hickson
Smith/Hickson
Chandler/Datome
KCP/Stuckey
Jennings/Billups

Horrible, just absolutely horrible. Monroe >>>>> Chandler. I would rather keep Jerebko/Bynum than take on Hickson.

Chandler can score just as effectively as Monroe and while spreading the floor for others. He's started 136 games at SF over the last 5 years, a decent sample size I believe, 15ppg 45% and 36% on 3s with 4 attempts per game. He's obviously a much better and more versatile defender, being able to play both positions of need for us, plus he's locked up cheap for 3 years. Hickson is also locked up for 3 years at just over $5 million each, would be a very good first big off the bench and is still young enough to improve quite a bit. We can have these 2 guys at less than what it would cost for Monroe alone next year, are you seriously telling me Moose brings more to the table than these 2 would on our squad? IMO this is the type of move Dumars made 10-11 years ago that made us such a great and deep team.

At this point, it makes more sense just to play KCP.

If it has to cost us more than our expirings, yes clearly.

Ideally I would love to do a combination Bynum/CV/Singler/JJ/Mitchell/picks for Chandler. If we could get Chandler without giving up our core players we would be rock solid top to bottom. Chandler is literally the PERFECT fit for us as the backup SF.
Jennings/Billups
Stuckey/KCP
Smith/Chandler
Monroe/Smith
Drummond/Monroe
Okay I will wake up now lol

Hes also the perfect fit for about 28 other teams. His contract is low and his talent is high. That makes him very pricey. Yes Denver will ask for Monroe/Drummond.

No - they won't. Not seriously, anyway. No GM on the planet would trade Monroe for the legendary Wilson Chandler. And no GM on the planet would not pee their pants laughing if someone suggested they trade Drummond for Chandler.
I'm unclear if I can think of anyone who has been more over-hyped than Wilson Chandler. When did that o.k. player take on such legendary status, anyway? Seriously, we treat him like an all-star.
