SG Rodney Stuckey (expiring)
PG Peyton Siva
PF Tony Mitchell
Future 2nd rounder

for

SF Martell Webster
SG Rice Jr.
PF/C Jan Vesely (expiring)

They cut some long-term salary, finally get a legit SG to backup Beal, and gain two young prospects. We get a legit SF worthy of 25+ minutes per night.

WASH becomes:
Wall / Maynor / Siva
Beal / Stuckey
Ariza / Porter / Singleton
Nene / Harrington / Booker / Mitchell
Gortat / Seraphin / Nene

WE become:
Jennings / Billups / Bynum
KCP / Singler / Rice Jr.
Smith / Webster / Singler
Monroe / Smith / Datome
Drummond / Monroe / Harrellson

** Since Webster just re-signed in Washington, this deal cannot become official until mid-December.

Nope. I think Stuckey should be starting. He has been really good on both ends of the floor so far. Webster is good role player but not as good as Stuckey. He's also not worth giving up on Mitchell who has a ton of potential.

we need quality role players. we have enough of volume shooters, we need guys that help make our interior guys lives easier and Webster definitely fits the bill, I doubt Washington would just give him away for Stuckey though, Walls basically a Rockefellers version of Stuckey and they wouldn't be a good fit together.

Ask Wizards fans what they think about it. I don't think they want to do this that much, at least, not until Porter is healthy and proves that he can play.

Love this trade, Bynum-KCP-Webster is a nice start to a bench. and Washington is actually improved from this once Porter is healthy.

I fully endorse this trade

Mitchell is a star in the making, no deal.

I'd much rather just see KCP get more minutes in all honesty. I don't want to bring in guys who will limit his growth.

Funny enough though, this team doesn't have a good and consistent track record of developing young talent outside of Monroe. We pretty much squelched or traded away rookies within their first contract. Lol.

But yeah, I think Stuckey and a future 2nd might do it instead of sacrificing all our younglings sans cash differences.

Washington just signed him to a multi-year deal over the summer and he's played well so I see no reason they would deal him for an expiring. Once Porter is healthy and playing well they will probably look to move him or more likely Ariza but not for expiring deals and second round picks that's for sure.

Stuckeys been very good. Webster has been the dictionary definition of inconsistent for his entire career.

I wouldnt do Stuck for Webster ever, then he wants to toss in Mitchell too??

No way.

I'm a big fan of Stuckey but considering he likely won't be back next year there's really not much reason to hold onto him over doing a deal like this. Webster has always shot the 3 exceptionally well, he can start at the 2 or the 3 or come off the bench, he's a solid defender and he just signed a 4 year $22 million deal over the summer. He didn't go to college and I think that's a big part of the reason he doesn't have a well rounded game and clearly he's been inconsistent but it's not as though Stuckey has been consistent either. As for Mitchell, we could cut him tomorrow and my only thought would be who we might be able to sign.

For those of you that have expressed not liking this trade because of giving away Mitchell....

With Josh Smith around and picking up nearly all of the backup PF minutes, Mitchell may never get PT here anyway.

This, also how many 2nd rounders didn't pan out that this board overrated?

I like Mitchell fine, but Id trade him in an instant for value

I don't trade Mitchell. I'd include JJ or Singler instead. Mitchell could turn out to be nothing, but I want to wait and see with him.

Webster can not start at the 2 or 3 here, he is just as inconsistent as Stuckey but Stuck isnt a one trick pony.

Re Mitchell, maybe big men evaluations arent your thing.

The one trick that pony does is what we need the most

If this deal was made, there would be plenty of minutes for BOTH KCP and Webster.

As is, we have;

1) JSmoove and Moose both playing 38+ minutes per -- that can't continue thru the rest of the season.
2) Singler playing 23+ minutes per (give these minutes to Webster)
3) Stuckey playing 22+ minutes per (give these minutes to KCP)
4) Bynum is playing 23+ minutes per
5) Billups is playing 27+ minutes per
6) Reduce the minutes of both Bynum and Billups (see 4 and 5, above) - more time for KCP and Webster
