nah, I've never been a big Deng fan and think we can do a lot better in return value for Monroe.

Plus, before the Pistons think about trading Monroe they need to see the Drummond/Smith duo starting together for a good amount of games. Last thing you want t do is trade away Monroe, and then not find out until afterwards that Smith/Dre don't work either. Though that is something I could see Joe doing anyways. After all, he planned this whole offseason around Drummond/Monroe, yet didn't feel the need to see them actually play together for more than 10 games.

I'm all for trading Monroe for the right price, but I just want to see more of Smith/Dre together first, becauset thus far they haven't played much together as a duo up front.

How about Rudy Gay instead of Luol Deng?

Or even Demar Derozan and Rudy Gay for say Monroe and Stuckey? and we'll give you kyle lowry too if you package draft picks and expirings.
